Shane Battier was a better defender than Beverley

I've followed every game since the Sleepy Floyd era, so don't go there. So you're saying his game winning defense on one of the best players in nba history was a fluke?

no, you said that. Good play. Overall does the man defend? No. How did opposing star guards do against the rockets during his tenure with us? Was he really that much of a difference maker? Or was he a liability. That’s why he was shipped out. Defense did not make up for offensive woes unlike PJ who actually guards players. Difference between PJ and Bev is PJ doesn’t consistently rely on theatrics night in and night out. Does PJ have savvay vet moves to draw fouls or slow down opponents? Sure. But as far as the stupid antics, theatrics and ridiculous flopping PJ doesn’t do that. Again for the third time..Bev don’t guard nobody.

Bev's defense is equivalent to a really good offensive player who just so happens to have sick dunks. They get more recognition from their flash.

There are NBA players out there who are better at defense than Bev, but because Bev has the talk/swag/energy he will stand out more.

I loved him here and thought he was an excellent defender (even full court sometimes!). Plus, he earned the nickname wolverine haha

I'd easily take a guy like Tucker over Bev, but Bev gets way more love.

To be fair. JVG loved Ryan Bowen. I trust JVG for defense.

    and a better script writer

PBev lookin' like he got his knees and ankles broken on that play. I swear this looks so bad, I was going to say it was photoshopped. Almost like they added PBev breakdancing into a shot where Harden was shooting a wide-open 3.
