The Clippers game was a national spotlight game too and I think that win is worth a lot more than this loss. We are virtually tied with them and 3 games from first. This lost sucks and should not have happened but it is not the end of the world.

Pelicans' recent bad record had some of NOLA peeps asking Alvin Gentry to get fired. I don't think it's entirely fair to Gentry, that ex Laker's young core that came over from the AD trade is very meh. Plus no Zion. Winning Christmas day helps. Not sure if Gentry will be around at the end of season.
Gentry was a lucky charm for them to get the first pick in the first place. They are getting another chance in the lottery. Sack him after the lottery or give him another season. Some fans do not see the long term ramifications of a bottom team.
