He was amazing in the 2011 game against Baltimore... it actually set the stage for his ascension to super-stardom.
This right here. If he tears it again, so what he’ll have more time to heal for next season. Let the man play football for crying out loud which is pretty damn good at
Great news! O’Brien has another weapon to use for those 1st & 10 runs up the middle!!! Can’t wait!!!!
Should give the team an emotional lift, but he hasn't been the same player since his back problems. Amazingly, I agree, Fuller is the key. Plus, the entire team needs to get its head on straight and focus on each play. Our players tend to "drift."
If it’s totally healed then the chances of it re-rupturing are the same as they were for it rupturing in the first place. If it’s not totally healed then yes that all could happen, but his back is a bigger concern than his pec. And if he’s not fully healed he shouldn’t be playing.
Fuller has 37 and 16 yards in his 2 playoff games. JJ is as important if not more than Fuller. Even if he doesn't get a sack his double teaming will open up others. Defense with watt has held it's own relatively. 21 pts against colts. 20 against kc (7 pts from kickoff return ND 3 bc starting field position was Houston 20ish)
JJ Watt was one of the 2-3 best defensive players in the NFL last year. He likely would have had a dozen sacks this season... he is a vastly superior player compared to Fuller if he is really healthy and in shape.
Watt knows his career is probably almost up, he is going to go ham and if he gets injured again , i wont be surprise he retires.
Agree. The other impact is that the opposing team's offense has to scheme for him as well. so it puts some additional pressure on their OL.
Don't really understand the point of this post. It's not like out of Fuller and Watt, we can only choose one to put in the game while the other must stay out. Having both healthy and ready to go is better than just having Fuller. Watt's presence is clearly missed. And players tend to get keyed in on, especially in the playoffs. Box score is whatever - I'm sure if the games are re-watched, Watt did more than his numbers suggested.
...because the Texans are in the playoffs and have a chance to win? Because if there's another injury, he'll have the whole offseason to rehab? Because there's no more football to be played until late next year if the Texans lose? There's plenty of reasons why, if Watt is healthy, Watt should play.
I am happy to hear that JJ is coming back. I just dont think he should be risking re-injuring himself in a most likely 1st round exit.
