With common sense. coaching disruption effects QB’s as much as poor o-lines or poor gameplans. also, if you really want to judge O’Brien by the Fitzpatrick, Hoyer, Mallet, Osweiler years... it actually ends up looking favorable for him given what he was able to accomplish with those guys vs anything else they’ve done elsewhere. Mostly, I avoid it for that reason. if he fails with Watson, either via his development (done fine thus far) or playoff success (TBD) they have to make a move.
Not arguing it doesn't but you can't have it both ways week to week. Like i said earlier, denver game got away, but O'Brien adjusts well in game. Something i doubted about him but when he didn't have a qb i didn't have a problem with his style The complainants about offense were ignorant back then. Dude's playing with Hoyer
Exactly. I used to say they were holding on to Schaub too long but 2013 happened out of nowhere and he was only 32. Thats an iffy age in sports. Regardless O'Brien was respectable with no starting qb talent and fans complained about offense
Because he chose those qbs and the offense was perennially bottom 10. He lectured the city of Houston and said we should respect hoyer and mallet. Then he praised osweiler until he went in the doghouse. The offense isn't even that much better anyway. It's mainly Watson doing amazing plays off schedule.
What franchise qb did he not choose. Man I've seen this stupid ass argument from you before as if franchise qbs grow on trees. There are never enough for every team Then they get one to everyone's surprise and you're still b****ing about the past Don't know why i respond to this stupidity
Osweiler had talemt, did okay in Denver. They took a chance, doesn't work, makes playoffs anyway, gets Watson with mid level pick. Oswieller was a head case. It happens That's not something to b**** about
The Texans are better setup to win next year, than this season. The Oline with Howard back, The defense with JJ back, added @pgabriel Stop arguing with @Mr. Clutch (who is WRONG all the time) and @DatRocketFan (who has a personal HATE for O'Brien that seems to involve personal issues). They are IDIOTS. Let them whine.......
How are they set up to win next year? Heres a list of free agents who could leave; Reader Mercilis Roby Hyde Fells Joseph I'm sure I'm missing some. And here are the picks, by round, they have: 2,4,5,6 Here are the guys they have to extend and thus can't sign any expensive free agents: Watson Tunsil
Again, what were the options Lol Kubiak got over. Good lord So is this part of your deal? Missing H-Town Kubes? Just would like to know what im dealing with Edit: @Mr. Clutch This is why you keep running that dumbass O'Brien chose those qbs argument. You don't wanna admit HTown Kubes left the cupboard bare. I just had an epiphany. Thought i knew you so well from previous life here but wasn't around for St Pius Kubes leaving. To quote Paul Harvey Now you know the rest of the story
Look at this BoB fan, already making excuses to hype up his man for next season. The two players u mentioned will not make us that dramatically better into legit superbowl contender status, try again, BoB defender.
Keep telling yourself that, BoB jock rider. lets hope he coaches better in playoffs than this game. six turnovers forced and all BoB generated was one offensive td, quite pathetic. I can't wait to see what excuses u gonna make when we get embarrassed in playoffs once more due to BoB coachin weaknesses.
WTF are u talking about? Watson and Tunsil are not going to stop the Texans from signing Free Agents. Watson extension won't kick in until 2022, Tunsil's 2021. The new CBA may remove Watson from the equation anyway. Texans will have 80-90+ million in cap space for 2020. Hyde isn't leaving. This is the best he has looked. He is a vet that wants to stop bouncing around. Reader will be paid by the Texans. Mercilus has gotten cheaper as the season has gone on. Roby is the one that will be the toughest to sign. As for Draft picks: 2020/2021 Texans have or will have these picks (official compensatory picks won't be announced til Feb/March...but the formula is known). Christian Covington may land a 6th or 7th round compensatory pick. 2020: 2nd round 3rd round (Compensatory - Honey Badger). 4th round (Miami) 4th round 5th round 7th round. 2021: Free Agent losses will result in Compensatory picks, not known until who is lost (if Roby and Reader are lost...most likely 3rds for both. Mercilus...depends). 3rd round 4th round 5th round 6th round (Miami) 6th round 7th round
