Scottie a career 32% 3 pt shooter.

He wouldn't even make the team.

I still remember this clowns huge turnover in that game 1 of the lakers series which changed the whole momentum of that series. Had we won game 1 in la the whole series would have turned upside down

"Space the floor" is now a misnomer for what qualifies as a "system". It's a basic concept. They're lazy, yet contradict their own takes all the time. It's literally for your clicks. Jay will say Harden benefits the most from MDA's "system", yet he's the most unstoppable/unguardable player of today. Like... why can't the latter be the explanation for the former? The answer: because they don't want to give Harden much of any credit that sniffs Lebron or KD's territory.

As for Scottie.... take away Jordan, he instantly becomes a loser. That's that.

I think Scottie in this era would be atleast as good as paul George. A number 2 in the league again

Dang if Pippen would score 40 with DTonay , then Toni Kukoc would score 140 points with DToony...

Phil Jakeyson thought more of Kucoke’s offense!!

Scottie Pippen is the ultimate second banana who couldn't do diddly/squat without Jordan. Harden became a league MVP and perennial All-NBA'r without Durant and Westbrook.

The two times teams asked Scottie to lead them (1993-1994 Bulls with MJ retirement, 1999 Rockets with aging Barkley, Hakeem) he couldn't handle it. With Houston, he picked a fight with Barkley and cowardly demanded a trade. With '94 Chicago, he had one of the most embarrassing moments in NBA playoff history.

Scottie's career highest offensive BPM number ever was 4.9.

That is not only less than half of Hardens total in 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017, it's lower than 9 of his 11 NBA seasons.

Both by traditional stats and advanced ones, it basically takes about 2 Pippen playing 80 minutes to replicate the offensive output of 1 Harden playing 40. It's science.

Pippen was brought to the Rockets in 98 and given carte Blanche to become an offensive creator. Let’s just say he didn’t average 40.

TMac would average more than Pippen (although still not 40). He was a much better offensive player.

Forget AVERAGING 40. It's hard to score 40 in a single game (note that the Pip did it all of five times in his whole career)

And he'd somehow be twice the scorer in today's NBA. Ya right.
No he wouldn't and there is no excuse.
Yep.

FWIW, the only guy from 'back in the day' who talked about what he'd do in today's NBA that I believe would have actually done so was Wilt.

Dwyane Wade was a better player than Scottie Pippen, and Harden is better than Wade - who crossed over into the same era. So there's that.

Analytics were around. Daryl Morey went to his house and begged him to drive to the basket and stop shooting long 2’s.... he wouldn’t do it and he took a lot of 3’s in his prime.

I don’t think any player in the last 35 would average 39-40 points other than possibly Jordan. McGrady and Kobe are not good enough 3 point volume shooters.

There is a reason only Michael Jordan and James Harden have come close in the last 60 seasons of modern basketball.

    it IS that impressive.
Pippen could not shoot 3’s as well as George or put the ball on the floor as well. Pippen was a fantastic defensive player and a tough rebounder and not a bad passer but he was limited offensively and scored often because of the attention Jordan drew.

Scottie Pippen offensive Skills is non existent he cannot dribble, or get by his man 20 times a game, doesnt have a crossover dribble, stepback, eurostep, machine gun dribble, Shamngod crossover, Iverson Crossover, teardrop layup, or a 3 point shot.

Scottie Pippen is a Kelly Oubre Jr. with no 3 Point Shot or no Crossover.

I would pick Kelly Oubre Jr over Scottie Pippen.
