Grizzlies ain't taking on fatty Dion's bad contract and trade Iggy just to get two 2nd rounders bro, pretty sure two 2nds aren't even enough to get Iggy (rumors saying they want a 1st) or to have a team eat on Waiters contract (two years left at 12M per season for a done player).

Yeah I said waiters but they have like 8 guys on that roster making between 10-17m so literally any of them can be traded. Maybe Meyers Leonard? Only one year left on his contract.

We need someone athletic at 6.9" and up that can spell Capela. No need for a crowder, we have that in House and mcLemore...

    Bruno's value has plumetted.

Maybe we can give him another shot?

I'm sure it wouldn't cost more than a 2nd rounder at this point and you know Daryl has spoken with them consistently following the Iguodala trade.

Best case, we get the 4/5 with range that we desperately need to give some rest to PJ and Clint. Worst case, we gave it a go and we try again in February at the dead line or in march at buyouts.

Did yall see that long chat WB and Love had at the end of the game tonight?:eek::eek:

Lol JK we don't have the contracts to make that happen. It's crazy to know we could have re-signed Nene and Shump at 10 mill a each with their bird rights and would have been able to make a big trade like that if we wanted to. Old Tilly always watching out for what's really important.

Larry Nance Jr would be amazing here. It really caught me off guard that he's been shooting 37% from 3 on 1.2 makes per game this year.

Nance is a elite finisher at the rim, can move his feet well enough to guard the perimeter well, has enough weight/length and hops to play interior D, and now is hitting 3's. Perfect PF for Hou, is locked up for the next 3 seasons (after this one) making only 30 mill.

    Oh?
    Only 10mill per year?

HOW THE HELL DO WE ACQUIRE A 10MILL.PER YEAR CONTRACT????

Why do these things keep getting thrown out there. We can match minimum contracts plus a tiny bit. That's it (unless you trade Capela - for Nance? L O L. )

If you look up about 3 post you can see I'm fully aware of our contract and cap situations. You don't have to POST IN CAPS L O L like a clown brah.

I just think he'd be a great fit for our team, and is on a good contract.

Not us, but someone is going to get Gallinari for a real good deal this season. The Thunder aren’t going to be asking for much, so any team that’s able to match salaries and throw in Firsts (Non lottery) will nab him.

    Houston Rockets

What to watch: GM Daryl Morey, Nene and buyout candidates

We should never discount Morey and his staff at the deadline, but Houston is faced with obstacles when looking to upgrade the roster. Removing James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon (cannot be traded) from the trade list leaves the Rockets with two starters to consider -- Clint Capela and PJ Tucker -- along with nine players earning $3.5 million or less. Because of the 15-man roster restrictions, Houston would need to recruit a third team to send back players.

At the time of the deadline, Nene will be owed $1 million for the rest of this season. Trading him would allow the Rockets to sign a player on the buyout market while staying under the luxury tax. The best work Morey did last year was when he signed Austin Rivers and Kenneth Faried after the two hit free agency during the season. The buyout market will be important for the Rockets yet again.

If Nene is not traded prior to Feb. 7 or waived by Feb. 15, his $2.6 million salary for 2020-21 becomes guaranteed, so Houston is on the clock.

Front-office deadline history: Circumstances have dictated how aggressive Morey has been at the deadline. Houston made five trades last year that were mostly financially motivated. The Rockets saved $18 million toward the luxury tax by attaching $2.6 million in cash, a first-round pick and three second-rounders.

    Restrictions/notes
    • Houston is $185,000 over the luxury tax threshold with an open roster spot.
    • The Rockets have three trade exceptions worth $1.5 million each, plus three more exceptions worth $1.6 million, $3.2 million and $3.6 million.
    • The contracts of Ben McLemore, Isaiah Hartenstein and Gary Clark become guaranteed if not waived by Jan. 7.
    • Thabo Sefolosha cannot be traded until Dec. 23, and Nene cannot be moved until Jan. 15.
    • Nene's $2.6 million contract for 2020-21 becomes guaranteed if he is not waived by Feb. 15
    • Eric Gordon cannot be traded.
    • Austin Rivers and Gerald Green have one-year Bird restrictions and can veto any trade.
    • Harden has a 15% trade bonus that would be voided in a deal.
    • Chris Paul cannot be reacquired.
    • The Rockets can send out $4.6 million cash in a trade.
    • The Rockets owe OKC a first-rounder in 2024 (top-four protected) and 2026 (top-four protected). In addition, OKC has the right to swap picks in 2021 (top-four protected, with Houston receiving the least favorable of its pick, OKC's pick and Miami's pick), and 2025 (top-four protected; OKC has the right to swap with the Rockets or Clippers).

I came in here to say how I think it will be inevitable that we dangle Austin Rivers in a trade. Once EG gets back, with McLemore settling in as well as House, we could afford to lose Rivers if it meant getting someone bigger in return. And I think teams would have liked what they have seen from Rivers as well as his contract. It would have been ruthless considering the discount we got with him but one of our few options.

However I did not realize he could veto any trade so I doubt they even try that. Guess we’re back to future late rounders and expirings/ngs being our only assets

Acquire 2 of these 3 with 2nd round picks:

G/F Shaquille Harrison (CHI) would have to agree to be traded here. Do you think he would object?

G/F Vince Carter (ATL) would help with our playoff push. Help get us back into good graces of the Bball Gods

F/C Skal Labissierre (POR) I think POR will make a push for Kevin Love (makes too much sense not to happen). We jump in the trade to snag Skal who provides length, 3 point shooting, and blocking.

Can we trade some players from Bucks? Their players have good shooting accuracy.
