Surprised to see, after they announced 2 impeachment charges this morning, no update to this thread. Here's an article about the impeachment articles: https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/10/politics/impeachment-articles-announced/index.html

One of the burning questions was whether Mueller's 10 instances of the president's obstruction in the Russia investigation was going to get included. Looks like they'll make reference to it (because they mentioned a pattern of obstruction), but it won't be in the formal charge and it'll focus more narrowly on his embargo of all House requests in the Ukraine matter. I think that's probably wise -- keep the impeachment as narrow and simple as possible. As much as I'd like to throw the whole laundry list at him, it won't increase the gravity, it'll just make the debate more confusing for the citizenry.

And here comes william barr, proving to be the second most dishonest person in the trump admin...

Perhaps not hiring a campaign manager under investigation might have helped?

    And, a blatant lie...

If Reno had Clinton's back like Barr does Trump, he would have never been impeached. Barr's more like a personal attorney than head of the DOJ which in and of itself shows the corruption of this administration. I have much more respect for Jeff Sessions now.

AG Barr on WSJ: "I'm just saying what the IG found, the IG said, 'I did not find documentary or testimonial evidence contradicting the explanations that were given me, and I accepted them.' He is not definitively ruling that there was no bias. That is why we have Durham."

Former Utah Senator weighs in on the impeachment charge related to "Obstruction of Congress" (Which is not actually a thing)

Why do we need a government? Might as well get rid of the federal government while we are at it. I am sure getting rid of IRS will be very very popular.

    Stick with the cartoons man...

"Committing crimes of moral turpitude such as perjury and obstruction of justice go to the heart of qualification for public office. These offenses were committed by the chief executive of our country, the individual who swore to faithfully execute the laws of the United States. This great nation can tolerate a President who makes mistakes. But it cannot tolerate one who makes a mistake and then breaks the law to cover it up. Any other citizen would be prosecuted for these crimes."

"But, President Clinton did more than just break the law. He broke his oath of office and broke faith with the American people. Americans should be able to rely on him to honor those values that have built and sustained our country, the values we try to teach our children — honesty, integrity, being forthright."
