That's awesome. I'd love to know where RB Stewart is getting that fuel and who else they service (they're bucees supplier)
Not super sweet and medium spicy. I could stand it to be a little spicier but its well balanced. Never thought about what they used to sweeten it while I was eating it. Next time I go through and buy some I'll think about it as I eat it to see if I can identify it. it's not like a teriyaki sweetness so I'm not sure.
they used to have a “heart healthy” beef jerky made from grass fed beef. I ordered the spicy version one day by mistake (it was more expensive than the regular varieties). It had a higher fat content than jerky should, but because it was refrigerated, it hadn’t gone rancid. Best beef jerky I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a bunch. Been chasing that dragon ever since. their crab traps are better than academy’s, and I like the ethanol free gas for my boat. The chocolate chip cookies are legit....even if they have gone down hill a bit. The burritos are excellent, but a quick trip to acid reflux. The sweet toasted pecans are excellent.
White chocolate covered pretzels and sweet cashews. Big ol' french vanilla coffee too, but you can get that at almost any other gas station.
I hate Bucees with a passion. Yes, bathrooms are big and clean. But the place is too big and too crowded, and for how big and crowded it is you'd think they'd sell something useful but they don't, just miles of kitschy t-shirts and junk food. It's just a blackhole to suck my kids into forever and make them ask me to buy them stupid cheap trinkets I don't want in my house. My last experience, I was camping and needed towels and we thought maybe next to all the kitschy t-shirts there'd be some kitschy towels. But they couldn't even do that right. Never again.
Whoever is in charge of their marketing is literally a GENIUS. They actually turned a big gas station into a cool trendy Texas icon that everyone MUST stop at whether they want to or not. That is an unmatched accomplishment in the marketing world.
Best gas station facilities on either side of the Mississippi. sweet and hot beef jerky is my go to item and saltwater taffy.
Not really Buc-ees related, but the nostalgic part of me misses the tower of $4.99 cassete tapes that all gas stations & truck stops had. Fun on road trips when the only other option to tapes was FM radio before digital tuning and the "scan" button was invented.
