Yeah, because we're not even half way through the season so I'd rather not make definite statements.

We haven't had this team fully together since the start, so many guys on and off, Capela has really turned the corner, not the same player, and I think Russ will do enough.

I'm really not that down on this team as everyone else is right now at this moment. Last year at this time they looked worse.

 

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BETTER REPLACEMENT, THEN WHY ARE YOU SAYING HE'S AN IDIOT?
Sounds as if he's better than our alternatives then.

You may be forgetting that we had some GREAT runs, and really the ONLY thing
that kept us from getting a ring over the past few years are
1) The 'greatest team ever assembled' (which we took to 7 games) and ran into
them MULTIPLE TIMES. That's a brick wall that NO OTHER COACHES could break, either.
2) Some questionable refereeing.

So, you are saying just because a coach got shanked by referees in a 7 game series
(not to mention a bad hammy changed the course of the series), that he's a 'BAD coach'
and deserves to be put out to pasture because we couldn't get over the hump against
the greatest team ever assembled?
What does it say about the 28 OTHER coaches who didn't even make it THAT far?

Of course the Rockets are protesting a thing that's never happened before.

 

If Frank Vogel is a no brainer because he has Lebron and Anthony Davis why do you call MDA a 0.700 coach when that 0.700 came with MVP James Harden? Getting a 0.700 record when you have one of the best offensive machines in NBA history is also a "no brainer". Reaching the Finals or winning a ring with James Harden wouldn't be a no brainer, but MDA hasn't achieved that yet in like 5 years so all he ever done are the no brainer ones.

Your desire to protect Dumbtoni is so huge you contradict yourself.

What I would say is both JVG and Joerger's records with a mediocre team (when they can't lean on superstars to carry them to wins) are much better than Dumbtoni's. Why are these guys sitting at home? For the same reason Dumbtoni was sitting at home before the Rockets picked him up. Maybe you forgot but everybody was laughing when Dumbtoni got hired, nobody was "lining up to pay him gobs of money to take their teams to the TOP". It's also the same reason Vogel was sitting at home before the Lakers got rejected by Tyron Lue and had to settle on him. There are a lot of prospective head coaches available but only 30 HC slots. Not everyone who doesn't have a HC job can't coach, and not everyone who is currently coaching deserves to be a HC in the NBA.

You keep throwing these "challenges" that always get answered like who would people replace MDA with or why those guys aren't hired etc. But you never answer other people's questions about MDA like what does he do that makes him better than other coaches or how come he has never won a ring even when his team had more talent than his opponents. It's kinda funny to see you ask these questions and then ignore the other dude when he answers them lmao.

So Mike takes a time out and clearly is arguing that that the ball went through the net (and he appeared to me to be spinning his finger in the sign of reviewing the play and they are saying he dind't ask for a review within 30 seconds are you kidding me ??? The NBA is crooked as Fu** there's no way they couldn't know what the team was asking for there ??? Yeah it never should have c=some to that but that was a royal Fu** job by the officiating and by the NBA as a whole.

 

That's exactly what should happen but we all know it won't thjis league is dirty and especially the way the Rocket s always appear to get f**ked

Comments say this has happened before and a game was re-played.

 

This is absolute horseshit from the refs.

The instant replay rules say if they aren't sure a basket went in, they can trigger a review.

There is also nothing in the rulebook about a 30 second window to ask for a review. Replays show Harden and D'Antoni immediately asking for them to look at it so it's pretty amazing that they would make that sort of a claim.

 

I would be SHOCKED if either of those things happen.

They will just say the officials screwed it up but so what. Like they always do.

 

OMG...place the blame on the Rockets and the team for the refs ineptitude. This is nothing more than a CYA to protect the errors of the referring team. No, the refs should be held at fault, not the Rockets. Silver, you need to step up and state the refs handled this inccorectly all around...the call and the review.

 

Rockest deserve this loss but I hope they go through with it.

I love being a constant thorn in this leagues side, first with the China thing and now this. Just create drama with it.
