How? Only if we traded all 3 first round picks and moved up but even then no one wanted to trade with us. The team that should have drafted him was Golden State.

 

I think VC would have been better for the Rockets than Bryce drew and Mirsad Turkan.

I've always wondered what happens in the alternative universe of "le dunk de la mort" where Vince accidentally clocks Kevin Garnett in the head with his post-dunk fist bump. He was so pumped, I think somebody would have had broken bones.

He tried for months afterwards to replicate the dunk in practice and never could. It was a unique moment even for him. Legend.

 

Apparently you haven't see a buzzer beater from the NCAA tournament worth drafting him over Vince Carter for that alone.

 

Oh I think we got Michael Dickerson that year too

 

If you look closely at advanced analytics it's pretty clear that VC has had a better career than Dickerson.

Brother I agree with you but Vince went number 5 and we picked Dickerson at 14. Bryce Drew and Mirsad Turkan should have been Rashard Lewis and someone else but whatever. At least we got Cuttino in the second round.
