I say we trade him back to Sacramento and Iman Shumpert for Justin James

Pretty much this. He has been serviceable for a 10th, 11th man. I expect his shooting will get closer to his career norms and I for one have been pleasantly surprised with his effort on defense.

Thabo/Tyson have also had decent moments off the bench.

It's called snapshot analysis - people see a player sucking on a few plays and instantly deem them a failure. I've seen some good hustle plays from both McLemore and Thabo as well as bad plays. But for Thabo, I'd have to say we're not getting much at all in return for even the vet min. I still cringe thinking of his dumb decision not to pass the ball to Clemons who was wide open for a potential game-tying 3.

No matter how bad he is, Mike will play him over Clemons.

He's pretty good every 4 games. He has such potential to be really good but he's bad most of the time.

    I'm always disappointed

I'm not a fan of the player because of his poor iq (especially on D) and inconsistency, but for the minimum i think he has been decent enough, it's not like you can expect much more by a minimum contract signed in free agency anyway.

I never got the McLemore hate. Dude is a vet min player, he's essentially a shorter Gerald Green replica.

He's gonna have some games when he gets REAL hot from 3, scores 20, those are gonna be great.

Most of his games he will be very mediocre, will score 2-4 points, those games he should be benched and saved for garbage time.

Meanwhile, whether he's hot or cold, he's gonna be bad on D, he's gonna have low BBIQ. But for vet min, with Gerald out for the season, GREAT signing.

Now, if you guys want to be mad about a player being bad, lets not focus on the vet min guy who can hit 3's sometimes, let's focus on the man we traded control over our picks until 2026 for, the man making over 160+ mill that goes out and consistently ***** bricks.

Good pickup off the scrap heap as an emergency scoring threat.

    The numbers are clear...

Start the man. He can’t play off the bench. House and EG off the bench will be elite.

I’m really hoping that Mike’s pet project works out here. Ben’s skill set is perfect for this team, and he has always had the talent.
