    So true!

It isn't even possible to penny pinch on them since they make too much to trade a min contract for. So we would have to send Tuck or Capela out to bring them in.
    So super penny pinching!!!

He averaged less than 6 points a game last year, less than 4 rebounds, in 23 minutes. He is a below average 3 pt shooter and shot 58% from the free throw line. Still capable of being a plus defender intermittently. Is he worth 1.7 million? He wouldn't be one of the top seven players on any team in the league.

He’d instantly be a rotational player here. The rockets out here playing the likes of Ben McLemore and thabo minutes lol. Thabo’s contract shouldn’t even be guaranteed like it is. He’s been horrendous since he’s been here. Waste of a roster spot

LOL. Small trade with MEM for depth.

Larger trade with Capela to aquire 2 starters. Still would push for 3 team trade:

    BOS: Capela, McLemore, Agustin

    ORL: Hayward, Clark

HOU: AGordon, Lob William's, Wes Iwundu

Celts getting starting defensive 5 to complement Kanter, Magic adds all star scorer and opens up logjam at 4 spot, Rockets add true 4 with all star potential plus a 5 with Clint athleticism + wing depth.

    Westbrook/Rivers/Clemons
    Harden/EGordon
    House/Jackson/Iwundu
    AGordon/Tucker/Bruno
    Williams/Tyson/Hartenstein

He can only exchange, if he buys out he will go to Lakers or clippers. Who can we exchange?

Good for them. He doesn’t want give up money for a buyout, then he can rot in Memphis. He wouldn’t be going to the Rockets anyway.

Trade wouldn't even work.. Houston would still need to send out more salary.

Small trade with Memphis can't be done because we have no matching salary.

We are stuck with minimum contract junk guys making up spots 6-15. That's a tough way compete for a championship...

If they did buy him out , he isn't coming here …. He's headed straight to the Lakers.

Memphis is doing us (and really the entire league) a favor.

We need to start a new thread with this title, then close it to prevent discussions and pin it to the top for all to see every time they stop buy.

Agreed, he doesn’t want to come here anyway and although his D would be better than most of what we’ve currently got on the bench it wouldn’t be a massive upgrade, everyone is looking for a Hail Mary here that isn’t there. It’d be slightly different if he wanted to come here and would accept the buyout but we all know he’s going to the Lakers or Clippers when and if he can.
