Hear me out...lol. Westbrook and Harden must switch units. The answer to fix this team is so damn simple and obvious. The rotation minutes for Harden and Westbrook must be switched on order to fix this mess. Instead of Westbrook coming out of the game early in the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter to rest and lead the second unit, it should be Harden doing that. Let Westbrook stay in there and run with the starters. You have seen the results of Westbrook leading our 2nd unit...it's pathetic. It's the worst thing in the history of the NBA, lol. Westbrook needs to spend all his time with the starters because he must depend on the talent around him. Harden can be surrounded by mediocre talent and still make magic happen. He should be running the bench unit. Take a look at these stats (thru 17 games)... Lineups involving Westbrook/Tucker = net rating of +1.9 Lineups involving Westbrook/House = net rating of +9.1 Lineups involving Westbrook/Capela = net rating of +2.1 Lineups involving Westbrook/Harden = net rating of +6.3 Lineups involving Wesbrook/Chandler = net rating of +5.1 These are the only 5 people Westbrook has a positive net rating with. He is horrible with anyone else. Keep him with the starters. Lineups involving Harden/McLemore = net rating of +18.8 Lineups involving Harden/Clemons = net rating of +13.4 Lineups involving Harden/Rivers = net rating of +5.4 Lineups involving Harden/Hartenstein = net rating of +17.2 Lineups involving Harden/Sefolosha = net rating of +1.2 Lineups involving Harden/Chandler = net rating of +18.3 Harden plays really well with the bench guys. A Harden/Clemons backcourt would be filthy. OR Am I tripping?
Something tells me that the reason those Westbrook duos with starters are positive is because Harden is very often also playing with them.
Ask CP3 what the issue is..... It doesn't matter how many eye popping individual stats and individual metrics you can break, it's a team game.
I found it hilarious when Bullard was talking about how many questioned if Harden and Westbrook would fit together on the court, and he said they have, and they have done so by having one on the bench. I don't think he realized what he said, but it seemed true and ridiculous at the same time.
Convert the best player in the NBA (in my humble opinion) to a sixth man. Are you trying to piss Harden off so he'll demand a trade?
6th man? I didn't say that. I said switch the minutes minutes/units of Harden and Westbrook. Harden still starts...just like Westbrook does now. Harden would come out Midway through the 1st and 3rd quarter like Westbrook does currently. Instead of Westbrook running the second unit. Let Harden do it since he knows how to guide less talented players.
This is genius!!!!!! Bring Harden in when we are down by 20. Hopefully he doesn’t get fatigued in the 4th trying to get us back in the game. Also......theres a good reason Westbrick is no longer on OKC
And how CP3 needed Harden to mesh moreso because of those things, along with an aging body. Yes. It's unfortunate things went sour behind the scenes with CP3 and Harden near the end.
