And those people were right about Kubiak. He wins a Super Bowl 2 years later with another team with much of the same coaching staff.

Obviously roster makes a difference. Especially when you have a HOF quarterback

Won with a QB he didn't want in Houston :D

    https://www.si.com/nfl/texans/news/gary-kubiak-it-had-to-happen-jiypp__u_Ua8ezW53SbJ8g/

Kubiak and Schaub were joined at the hip. He had a player's mentality and it showed when it was revealed that Peyton Manning was slated to join the Texans organization and Kubiak nixed the deal due to him not wanting to railroad Matt Schaub that way. It's decisions like that which justify what Mr. McNair said about Kubiak not being able to make the tough decisions that benefit the organization as opposed to the player. Manning went to Denver and balled, while Schaub signed an extension only to be exposed as a limited quarterback outside of the pocket. Struggles in the red zone, pick sixes, injuries, failed draft picks, lack of depth on defense and losing streaks in multiple seasons all amassed and cost Kubiak his job.

Poor Kubiak, 8 years, just not enough time. He needed more time to go 8-8.
Oh no! What if we fire Kubiak and we go from 8-8 to 6-10/4-12!? What will we do?!

    6-10
    8-8
    8-8
    9-7
    6-10
    10-5
    12-4
    2-14

Fire BoB and give a serious look at Gregg Roman. He knows how to work with a young QB and is good at making in-game adjustments. I think he was one of the keys as to why Baltimore killed us.

This nonsense about not firing BoB bc who else will produce the same average results? We took a leap of faith on BoB bc of his success in Penn state and his work with patriots why cant we do the same with another coach?

I rather we take a risk rather than endure years of producing the same results. I still find it mind numbing that some of u would rather take an ass beating in playoffs bc of an incompetent coach rather then attempt to replace him just bc he gets us to playoffs.

Colts hc: Frank Reich has no record or stats as a hc yet look at him now, overall record of: 16-11 beating us with his back up qb. Colts werent like god dam hes a great coach let hire him, they took a leap of faith and it paid off.

Just relying on a not even good coach to lead us to the superbowl, is just a waste of our players and the fans time.

Lets not forget that Broncos team was one year removed from a previous Super Bowl appearance. Kubiak went into a great situation. He inherited a defense that was loaded.

Reich has done nothing. Lost in the division round, just like O'Brien. That is less what Pagano did before him. Let's see what he does going forward.

So did Pagano, Caldwell, and Dungy before him. It's the Colts owning the Texans, not the coach.

O'Brien has won more against the Colts than any previous Texans' coach. Not saying much.

Hmmm, Pagano and Caldwell had no prior HC experience either. Nice try though.

Maybe team talent makes a difference? Colts have a more complete team than the Texans and have so since the Texans first season, atleast for most of their history.

why do u keep bringin up past irrelevant coaches.

My point to you is that Reich, is a coach with no prior hc experience is able to do well and outcoach BoB b/c the Colts took a leap of faith to change the culture and tried someone new. Why can't we?

Team talent? BoB has been here for six years, and yet somehow the Colts have a superior talent team? What the hell has he been doing for six years then?

Your argument that we shouldn't change a coach who produce okay results unless there's a better coach out there.

How are we ever going to find that out that's there's someone out there unless we take a leap of faith and try?
U know for a fact that BoB isn't a good coach, yet u refuse to support a change in HC, idk.

U must b one of those people who refuse to try new food/things b/c u are afraid that it might b a shtty experience. hows one gonna know if they don't even try?

They have superior talent because they drafted better. Blame the previous GMs. All those 2-4 round busts coming back to haunt.

Bringing up old coaches, because you bring up record before Watson was the QB. That is all that matters.
I don't believe in "Leaps of Faith", I want facts.......and assurances that the next guy will be better. No one can guarantee that.

If no one can guarantee that = we do nothing and just keep rolling out with a coach u can't even call good?

And u call yourself a fan?

It is not like they are going 5-11 every season. The coach has had ONE playoff with this QB. How about seeing what happens.....?

After BoB gets fired here, if he wins a SB as HC within 5 years I'll give you all the monies.

Please fire this man. One of the most idiotic timeout calls I've ever seen. A slight part of me wanted them to review it and give it back to the Colts just so BoB would get fired for complete and total incompetence.

It would have been the most Texans thing ever.

It couldn't happen though because we are destined to be stuck with this idiot forever.
