trade him for something, picks or whatever. his bball iq is on par with GG, but GG got more heart than this dude.
Ben will get back to his career 35%... He is just missing easy ones right now. I am still impressed by his overall effort level on both ends, and I don't think his defense this year is anywhere close to as bad as you make it seem. We weren't ready for last night. Coaches, players, etc. Need many more reps against the Harden double strategy... (Would have been a decent night to dust off Ryno)
I'm not even joking when I say this. If Chris Clemons was 6'9 he'd be an MVP candidate one day. That kid has so much talent and fight in him. *edit: which is also why Isaiah Hartenstein is a future MVP candidate.
Gordon has been horrible this season and doesn't look like he's going to improve. Keep Mclemore, and trade Gordon (who has a higher value) for a defensive SF or PF. Also Clemons doesn't have to be 6'9, as long as he keeps hitting those 3's which is all he's asked of, he could be 5'6 for all I care.
Well, if he had good bbiq he would be getting better offers from other teams. We have to gamble on these players because we don't have the money to sign better ones. Plenty of players in this league are gifted physically but have terrible bbiq... a good example is Marquese Chriss.
I like Ben. You can tell he cares out their. His shot looks good, I have confidence he will have big nights for us. He’s never had this many open shots in his career. He’s a good guy to have at the end of the bench.
Not true at all. He still plays pretty good D if you watch the games closely. MDA uses him situationally to slow down those mega star 2s and 3s in the west. He just can’t shoot.
Yeah that’s why fans aren’t scouts or in player development. Melo has zero lateral movement and has lost a step or 2. At least Ben can still move his feet and is semi athletic. Ben just needs to shoot and play good enough perimeter and help D. One area he needs to improve is dribble drive and be more aggressive on the pump Fake or when the 3 is not there.
Compete for a title with one star on a super max, one average player on a super max, no picks, and no ability to go into the luxury tax. He’s being asked to find gold in a dollar store with his eyes closed and his hands tied behind his back.
So you're blaming the player for not being good at basketball instead of the incompetent coach who chooses to play him for extended minutes rather than trying out other players? Instead of the GM who keeps doing a bad job at picking the minimum players?
I genuinely hope he never takes another dribble. Catch and shoot, or move it along and get out of the way.
