Milk is amazing, but I gave it up to drink just zero calorie drinks and alcohol.

Milk near me is under $2/gallon, when it used to be over $4. The dairy industry is in a massive crisis, and just imagine if schools started moving away from milk? Thank goodness for butter. As much as it sucks, I'd guess a third or more of the industry needs to cease operations in order for there to be any profit in milk.

If it can limit the carbon footprint of cows I'm for it.

Only animals on planet Earth to drink another animals milk. Very taboo.

I will continue drinking milk and other non-milk milks like almond and soy

I do not understand why people always pretend to care about the farmers. Nobody cares about anybody else in any other industry, but GOD FORBID if our BELOVED farmers are affected. Nobody wants the product. Find a different job. Milk is gross.

Interesting report. One item that's confusing in this article is that the USDA says milk production grew 15% from 2009 to 2018 while this author says there was a 13% decline in overall milk sales from 2010 to 2018. Also, butter and cheese is growing on a per-capita basis.

Al Capone has been quoted, "Honest to God boys, we’ve been in the wrong racket all along!"

So, it would seem to me that Dean Foods messed up by selling off the Silk line to focus on dairy thus losing out on the emerging alternatives. These national chains may be in trouble but hopefully the smaller processors will be able to remain viable in their regions.

And some of the biggest welfare recipients too. Any other small business would just get the finger from the US government and told that the free market spoke.

I'd find it a lot harder to eat the necessary calories for exercise without milk.

    But I'd manage.

Yeah, there's never been any sort of outcry about manufacturing jobs, or outsourcing tech jobs, or mining jobs, or anything like that. Nope.

I haven't had a glass of milk since I was a kid. Outside of cereal or chocolate milk, I never cared for it.

I haven’t had milk in many years. I do buy almond milk for my boys and I for cereal.

Cows milk creates too much mucus in the system.

I never was big on the Milk to drink
    Mainly cooking and cereal
I moved to Almond milk for cereal now.
I dont care for the taste of either but they are comparable to me in ceral.

Butter, Cheese and cooking - das it

    I had heard as much . . . .

Not big on the other milk substitutes. . .
Soy, Coconut, Cashew, - not too too interested in trying them

Because we give it to them lol...

If you got any info on how feral cats can obtain milk from cows I'd be VERY interested.
