Because for a team that spams historic amount of threes, they only have two guys on the roster who are considered above average three point shooters for their careers and one of them is out for at least another month.

Is JJ Reddick available? He's on a middling team. Maybe they are willing to sell?

Bennet was a 42% 3pt shooter in the GLeague, is his knee better yet?

How are we going to get those shooters exactly? EG's contract can't be moved until after the trade deadline.

Miracle buyouts are our only option once again. Redick's being paid like $14mil to mentor those younglings.

I guess we can trade our only PF (Tucker) and reliable center (Capela) to match salaries.

Ya I forgot about the part that they have to also be in NBA game shape and can run up and down the court.

Harden, Gordon, House, and Tucker are all good shooters. Clemons too.

We are really good at signing the worst of the worst when it comes to shooters.

House has a small sample size where I can't tell if he's an actual above average shooter. His form doesn't exactly scream pure shooter.

Gordon is injured and PJ is only a above average three point shooter in the corners.

This team is heavily lacking in shooters.

The league is full of snipers. As the team that shoots the most, we need one.

I’d consider J.R. Smith, but don’t know what his physical/mental condition is at this point.

Rockets have a minimal amount of good shooters and/or two-way players.

Lol. Was thinking this prior to seeing your post.

I'mma go out on a limb here and say his mental condition is probably subpar at best. Wasn't it always?

4 year younger Trevor Ariza and healthy Luc would make me so much more confident in this team winning a ring this year. We just have that type of player on the roster this season.

There're going to be some cheap shooter available beetwen trade and buyout market, but luxury tax savings aside, i don't really think the Rockets lack shooters, maybe a 5 that can shoot, but Hartenstein should be able to fill that need. I think the Rockets need more size and lenght tbh.

How can you say this team doesn't lack shooters? Especially with Gordon out? We have James Harden who is already the center of attention by the defense and a guy who is only above average only at the corners. House is TBD.

Everyone else is below average 3 pt shooters.

Gordon is not out for the season, and like durvasa said all things considered the only player we have that can't shoot is basically Capela unless you plan to replace Westbrook. For me we actually need longer players who can play defense and hit shots at a decent % more then pure shooters with no D like Korver, but that's just me.

You are confusing "is not allowed to shoot" with "can't shoot".

Yes, everyone on the Rockets besides Capela, Hartenstein and Chandler have free reign to chuck 3s. We still only have Harden, an injured Gordon and a guy who only is above average at the corners. That's it for above average shooters on a team that chucks a historical amount of them.
