https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-nba-player-ratings/ Harden performs well, probably the best. Eric Gordon....likely the worst.
The one number I liked the most? +0.5 under Defense. "LeBron looks so committed to defense this year! He's back!" - any media outlet Defense Raptor rating: +0.4 "Harden might score a lot but he still is a below average defender" -any media outlet Defense Raptor rating: +0.5
Here's the full list of all rockets players who have played this year. I filtered it down to only require 1 minute, so the sample size on some of these guys is real small. My boy Gary Clark is getting screwed by this at only 5 minutes played, but I left it in there anyway. Take a look at our second best player @Williamson. Also kind of funny but also sad that Eric Gordon is literally the worst player in the entire NBA. I knew he was bad but...the worst player in the league! Wow.
You forgot to highlight Clint. While everyone was taking a dump on him he has snuck in as top five defensive RAPTOR player. Sure he legit WAS worse earlier in the year. But any idea that we can just move on from Clint, or that he is overpaid and just lucky to play with Harden, is, imo, insane.
PJ Tucker was a Raptor but he is no game changer in this ranking? 42% plus from 3, playing heavy minutes at times, around 10 ppg...... + 0.8 on D and a Minus on O? This is one of his better and most effective seasons on Offense.....
Westbrook a negative on both ends while making $40 million a year and costing multiple first round picks. Awful.
They bend over backwards to make a dumb pronounceable acronym for all their stats and this is just the one they came up with for their version of RPM/RAPM/PIPM or any other all encompassing plus minus advanced stat.
Money well spent. But who knows, after the knee heals and he's back to being his former (having fun) self, we might be able to look past this shitty start.
