Yeah, this was a GREAT movie, even though it really veered from the book, which is my favorite read of the last 10 years. I thought it should have been a trilogy but whatever, it was a great homage.

Read the book first. Both are great. Awesome tribute to my age group.

Oh, I was talking about Doctor Sleep. The Shining is a fantastic book.

Oh, gotcha. Yeah I'd put The Shining in my top 5 King books...if not of all time. But my favorites by him (in no particular order): Misery, The Shining, The Long Walk, The Stand, and Cujo.

Completely wrong thread, but I do not care. Hartenstein!!

Doctor Sleep was a good movie, though. 7/10 for me.

Really enjoyed the movie. Kept me interested the whole way.

I heard on an interview that King didn't like the Shining movie, but thought Doctor Sleep was much better.

King hated the ending of the Shining movie. Kubrick changed it from the book. The ending in The Shining book is the ending from the Doctor Sleep movie.

This was great. Sad it’s not doing better at the BO. Been recommending to all my friends and coworkers
