I understand all of those things, but are any of those things representative of Houston the city, and not the Houston Rockets basketball team? Your main argument against the Les era jerseys (which were crap) is they were designed for China. I'm not sure who the flying dildos were designed for, but they did have some imagery that reflected Houston's identity as a city in the cartoon Rocket. I love the championship jerseys for all the same reasons you do, but there isn't anything about them that screams 'Houston'.
You got a couple things confused the city edition jersey is the one that has been written in Chinese for several years That thing needs to have something that says our city like the ones the other teams have that’s the Houston thing The sudden change of the logo since 1973 was a pitiful attempt to make a buck. It’s not the flying dildo. It’s that he changed the colors to blue and pinstripes The red and quake three ripoff jersey was for money as well since it happened right after we got Yao Ming if it wasn’t for Ya. Blue stripe dildos and my argument for the logo and red yellow is because it was there and nothing was wrong with it and it was there since 1973 just like the Celtics and lakers who had their colors for a long time
Les would’ve changed the Celtics from green and white to black...the Lakers from purple and gold to gray...the Knicks from orange and blue to red
.....and what screams Utah and Jazz. Los Angeles and Lakes. Memphis and Grizzlies? Nothing about those teams screams their respective city.
Another terrible feature is that Les had no taste The uniform looked like a clearance rack costume from the party store on the day before Halloween
He’s getting the city jersey comments mixed up with the traditional uniforms Like I mention the city uniforms should be about the city And the regular red and yellow was perfectly fine since the 70s
Wow these jerseys are so pure on tv If you don’t like them then you need to get your cataracts removed @Reeko

Houston Rockets (Red with yellow trim) Seasons worn: 1976-95 Notable players in this look: Hakeem Olajuwon, Moses Malone, Otis Thorpe, Calvin Murphy Never underestimate the heart of a champion, and never underrate a classic look. The Rockets won back-to-back titles in this one, but changed to a quintessentially '90s design a year later. It was definitely a mistake. -- Reisinger
