I don't care about MVPs and regular seasons. I hope he averages an efficient 29 and generates more ball movement and offensive production from Gordon, Westbrook, Capela, and House. That's an actual recipe for a championship.

56 points tomorrow night will get him there. Not a problem for him.

MVP voting is.unfair. Houston needs to get 1st result better than east and at least scorce 40 plus.

MDA should put harden in the court even in rubbish hour. We must help him to get 40 plus to beat MJ record and give him a MVP this year.

crazy that 56 is actually really possible.

harden is just unreal I’m actually sick of saying it. He’s a freaking monster and there isn’t anyone better at scoring a basketball than the bearded fella down here in houston.

best score ever not even close sorry MJ you got passed up.

I hate the "if harden scores 40ppg he's mvp" comments from these analysts. So if he's scoring 37-38ppg that isn't enough???

37-38 points average is so this week.

The bar will be raised to +42 before season is over.

Truly bizarre that he can probably do it too. Dude is otherworldly but again the burn out regular season factor becomes a possible looming elephant in the room

Don’t be sorry. Coming from a big MJ fan I will say it is perfectly acceptable and appropriate to say a player is a better offensive player than MJ. MJ doesn’t have to be treated with such royalty that he can never be surpassed.

That just does Harden injustice and a disservice. Harden has gotten better every year and is in the heart of his prime now. He should have had at least 1 ring by now.....certainly deserves it.

Ironman every season and just hoops like a stud. Best player on the planet and just as transcendental as Dream.

Yeah , I think you could get away with Rivers as the lead guard for 5-7 minutes on most nights …. with the right players on the court with him. Capela / Tucker / House / Rivers /??? that last spot ideally would be EG. Don't know if McLemore qualifies (This is where we miss GG). But that lineup would let you rest both Harden and Westbrook for short periods against most teams.

There's a different confidence surrounding Harden this season. He has looked more comfortable in the clutch.

You could feel it even in the preseason. I think we are about to witness an unthinkable season from Harden. It looks like he has Westbrook's blessing. He doesn't have CP in his ear about playing " the right way". It's the perfect storm.

It is a shame that this Harden season is being mitigated by Westbrook’s terrible play. We would be the title favorites if Paul was still here, with assets still in place.

Gonna take a miraculous season from Harden, which at this point is a distinct possibility.
