Besides, most of us as Rockets fans understand, the thing that allowed him to go mano y mano with MJ..the thing that drives him, that HUGE heart..sometimes worked against him when not properly fockassed. I love Vernon. He was one of the most athletic guys ever to play in the League. But, he's Mad Max for a reason. You take the whole package. I know we all are told never to quit..etc.etc...But, the whole thing happened out of passion.(and we did win #2) In addition to winning that first title, he's shown who he is. Vernon's a character with character and a supreme competitor. He's pure, baby. Houston!
