In what parallel universe was the Paul trade a mistake?

Do you think the Rockets were going to offer him anything close to that? And if so, how?

 

Yep, you're right. Totally left that out just kept thinking the dude is a good fit..

 

You probably should give up on explaining this. I sometimes wonder if people even have a brain to do some critical thinking and put some puzzle pieces together.

It is stupid that what you just said has to be repeated over and over to individuals that just can't grasp the big picture of the trade. It is also frustrating that they can not even analyze what may have been had that trade not happen. The trade for Paul was one of the best trades Rockets have made.

We almost beat the greatest team of all time, with only Harden and Paul. That Warriors team had great shooting, great defense, clutch players, a great bench, etc. If Paul doesn't injure that hamstring, ****, I wouldn't have to hear the idiotic statement about us losing Pat, Lou and Harrell as one of the greatest travesties for this franchise (as if those guys would have made it easier to beat GSW).

 

Austin Rivers. He plays much better defense than McLemore.

Oh you're right. He'd be great here, both for his 3pt shooting ability and his ability to be the kind of pest we haven't had since PatBev got traded. Plus, he's short, so you know MDA'd play him.

The NBA needs to get a handle on this 'rest', 'load management', whatever they want to call it, problem. Rockets-Clips with Leonard should be a marquee matchup, entertaining on a national basis. Now, we won't get to see that.

Entertainment is why these guys make the money they do.

MDA's substitution has been questionable especially when we're getting f*cked by opposing bigs... It probably took a lot for him to even play Mclemore.
He just need to give some other dude a try for instance in scenario where gordon is shooting so damn poorly that there wasn't anything else to loose but to give the next best guy a chance.
Gordon was getting burn & giving us negative offense but glad he somewhat turned it around on yesterday's game against the Pels.

I didn't say the acquisition was a mistake, but the amount they gave up. They got fleeced.

That is likely true, but D’Antoni opted to start McLemore instead of him when House was ruled out at halftime.

 

Loved Trez too and desperately wanted to keep him, but you do not veto Paul trade for Harrell.
