Thanks to Tilman this team has to rely on Ben McLemore and Chris Clementine.

I think those odds of playing just ooched up a bit to, say, 5%.

    Oh, yeah, and: We're (semi-)****ed.

I can't imagine the knee issues started after the season began, but at the same time, I can't blame EGO for eschewing surgery before he got P-A-Y-D paid.

Just saw this, and all the other posts mentioning, Why not get it done in the summer?

Why? MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY. ---- In Living Color

I’m sorry, but if Gordon felt like he could play through it from the middle of last season until now, then he should wait until the end of the year to get a clean up procedure done. Or, he should have had this done immediately after last season ended. Missing a month during the season for a clean up procedure is ridiculous.

And now James Harden has to part the Red Sea again and average 40+ points a game for 25 or so games to stay above water

Eh. The Rockets have also faced a lot of opponents missing players. Tomorrow they get to play the Clippers sans Paul George. Other guys need to step up in EG's absence for a month and a half. He'll be back in the new year.

I can. The Rockets had three years of data on what Gordon brings to their team. It’s also not a torn ligament. He would have still got paid next summer by either the Rockets or some other team if he had surgery during the offseason. Also, let’s say Gordon doesn’t get his extension from the Rockets. Missing 4-6 weeks during his walk year is not a smart move.

This Rockets team wasn't getting a top 2-3 seed. Just too many changes (coaching... Westbrook for Chandler) and too competitive a conference.

Missing Gordon will hurt sometimes but he should comeback and play better and it will give a chance to guys like Rivers and McLemore and Clemons. I actually like all three players and wouldn't be shocked if one of them takes advantage of Gordon being out and solidifies their rotation place. It also possibly speeds up a potential trade.

Surgery, or a pine box. Yeah, our medical staff wouldn't get hired by a rural high school athletic department.

Probably not but who knows? Someone will have to get those minutes and it will be someone from trade or it will be Rivers and Clemons or McLemore.

Clemons isn't going to be gun shy, he will try his best if given an opportunity. The sample size is small, but I actually think McLemore could really surprise people. He can really shoot the ball well.
