You countered him with a "Take it easy". Nicely done.

 

Combined opponent record is 30-73 with only two teams with a winning record. 2 of the games were against a 2-8 team. It's great that they didn't blow these games, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

 

Fans with high expectations. People are snowflakes when the team is criticized.

Pointing out we are in 3rd place is "getting ahead of ourselves"?

Good teams win the games they are supposed to win. Losing a close one to the Bucks in the opener doesn't mean we should tank the season.

Yes, many of us can agree it isn't ideal but swapping Paul for Westbrook and expecting to be undefeated right out of the gate is a little unrealistic. Growing pains is predictable.

If you said we'd start the season 7-3, I'd take it.

 

I try to look at the glass as half full. The Rockets are frankly not playing that great so far. Guys are out of shape or just plain out of it. Harden started off slow. EG has been terrible. Capela was barely playing in the first few games. And the defense and 3-point shooting has mostly been AWOL.

Yet they're 7-3 and a half game out of first in the West. Sure, the schedule has been light thus far, but it's also been road heavy(6 games vs 4 at home). And last time I checked, last season's first 10 games weren't that tough, yet the Rockets went 4-6 and were routinely getting blown out(their point differential was -6.1).

They've got some good tests coming up, but they've at least not dug themselves an early hole like they did last year.

 

Exactly, we have had our issues, but the team's intensity on D (that's what she said), has improved (although we still are botching rotation coverage on three point shots) and the guys are starting to get in shape and rhythm. Hopefully yesterday was the day EG broke out of his slump and Capela has been better.

We still have ways to go, but we are trending upwards and we are managing to beat the teams we are supposed to beat. Let the game against the big teams occur, before we count out this season at a 7-3 record. haha.

 

After the weakest 10 games schedule to start a season in the history of NBA, the Rockets will face its next 12 game with below schedule :

It is very reasonable for the Rox to go 4-8 in these 12 games.

the way the western conference is constituted its almost a certainty the best record will come from the east

4-8? That would mean the Rockets are playing like complete dogsh-t even compared to the first 6 games of the season. 7 of the 12 games are at home. Only one B2B. No Paul George tomorrow night vs the Clippers. At minimum, they better win half of them.

 

Reasonable? Over the past 3-5 years, this same core team has won more games than any team in the league except GSW (whom is now a shell). We upgraded our HOF PG w/ an MVP PG and kept the rest of the team intact. We are currently 7-3.

...and your hot take is it'll be reasonable we go 4-8?

Im afraid with strippers it might be the opposite as they will be blowing out harden and the rockets instead.
