Harden, who's drives result in all five opposing players on the floor to collapse onto him, doesn't get double teamed guys. Just learned that today.

His only poor game Id say was the heat game. The team sucked and he tried to will them by himself back into it. The team let him down and he only played 26 minutes. That one game destroyed our small sample size ratings for the year so far. still bringing them down. Westbrook has been better thus far than cp3. He brings different things. First of all he scores the basketball consistently. CP3 did not look the same last year on defense and offense. I dont think westbrook is much of a downgrade anywhere, and he is an obvious upgrade in tempo and scoring. He alone is getting our offense to a potential historic pace. He makes harden play quicker which helps him too.

He is very clearly not one of the league’s best players. He’s vastly overpaid on a long contract, a bad fit, and the Rockets gave up picks for the pleasure of watching him shoot sub-20% from three.

He sure produces and makes big plays like an elite player.

Doesn’t seem like a bad fit so far. Seems pretty damn promising. Haters gonna hate...

Oh he's definitely going to have those moments. He's an athletic freak and a one of a kind player. I don't think this is a case where there is no team in the league that Westbrook can't be a valuable contributor to. I just don't think his deficiencies mesh well with Harden's deficiencies. Their combined ball watching is an obstacle the team can't overcome. Either they're both going to have to learn to give full effort on defense or he's gotta go.

I'd be shocked if they trade him until he's an expiring contract....

Regardless of whether we win or not james and Russ will sell tickets and keep the rockets a profitable business....

Others will probably be traded but not him. We are fully invested in him

A little better than I expected. Not jacking as many jumpers as he did in OKC which is great. Hopefully he keeps taking it to the rim. He's done a good job creating open shots for his teammates.

Definitely an upgrade over Paul on offense. Hopefully his defense (and the team's) gets better.

nothings changed. it wasn't and still isn't the ideal fit. the true judgement will come down at the end of the year. wb is who he is. the shooting wasn't some fluke and anyone who has tracked him for the last couple of years would know that.

He is who I thought he was. The real test with liking the Westbrook trade will be in the next few years when he continues to slow down but his contract keeps growing.

Yes 2017-2018 CP3 was still a top 10 player in the league. Last year’s version was a solid player but solid players come way cheaper than 40m a year. I think that Russ makes the team more entertaining but he’s not a great fit. I wouldn’t bet on this core winning a ship. But they will still win a lot of games and possibly get to round 2 depending on the matchup. Can’t see this team beating a healthy Lakers or Clippers team.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28051965/three-key-questions-houston-grand-westbrook-experiment

    Statistical breakdown so far....

    A few tidbits

Westbrook is taking more mid rangers than the rest of the team combined

He is the worst volume shooter outside of the paint in the nba so far

We are a +7.8 with Westbrook off the floor and a -1.1 with him on the floor

There have been 87 minutes with Harden off and Westbrook on so far this season. Our net rating is - 18.8 in those minutes.

Hasn’t been very good, but absolutely some encouraging things in the article that give hope for some improvement.
