    (In no particular order/rank)
    Popovich
    Carlisle
    Rivers
    Steve Kerr
    Vogel
    Quinn Snyder (D’Antoni has had more talent the last two years)

    omgTHEpotential is correct in post #5, what players are/were around during those years?

    Take 17/18 season out when Ariza/Luc MaM for Rockets/D’Antoni (11-6) and D’Antoni
    would have a record of 38-43 (W-L)

    Hopefully D’Antoni lets House play in this years playoffs (every series)

    Lol what a garbage post. Let’s take away their best season and best chance to win just to try and make them look bad.

    I’m not a huge fan of Mike D but I still respect as one of the top coaches in the league and believe he gets more hate than he deserves. I don’t believe he ever has a team that should’ve won a title and didn’t. Even the 17/18 rockets, on paper did not have the same talent as the warriors. Anyone who says before the season they believed the rockets would be a 1 seed, win 65 games and be top 7 defensively is lying.

    I also don’t understand why people keep saying he doesn’t care about defense especially now. Back in Phoenix he probably genuinely believed he could just outscore teams but that was almost 15 years ago.

    You didn’t understand the post. It’s about D’Antoni playing conventional positions (17/18)
    Vs Small-Ball lineups the other years. Last year being a year he reverted back small ball crap lineup
    of CP3-Harden-Gordon.

    It went over your head. Popovich has Duncan-Robinson-Kawhi to Then not having them.
    LeBron went from Bosh-Wade in Miami to Kyrie-Love to Josh Hart /Ingram/Ball (didn’t make the playoffs)

    Snyder is so underrated here. I'd take him over D'antoni.

    Isn't afraid to cuss out his players for being lazy and does more in-game adjustments than D'antoni ever will.

    Jazz didn't lose to us the last 2 playoffs because of coaching, we just had superior talent.

    2003 to 2008 six years

    suns are champ team, should be able to win rings

    4 all stars —- Nash, amare, Marion, joe Johnson
    And Grant hill, Shaq,
    Bench:
    Barbosa
    Raja bell
    Boris Diaw

    postseason —- Suns and rockets 10 years
    49-49 is underperformed

    should be 60-38

    I have little-to-no confidence in Playoff MDA.

    I barely have confidence in the regular season.

    Terrible adjustments, barely runs any plays, defense is questionable, and has never won a championship

    Playoff MDA is crap - its his reg season stats that keep him employed...

    This is the guy that when Nene went down, decided to leave Trez on the bench and run a 7 man rotation... expecting Harden to cover LMA and Pau... which then the next game we had the infamous meltdown game where we got embarrassed by a Kahwiless Spurs...

    MDA is the Marty Schottenheimer of the NBA... Regular season greatness - and post season misery due to his stubbornness and lack of adjustability... 'it worked in the regular season - we're just gonna play our game...'

    ...imo...

    I have him at 9th best. The biggest flaw I see in his coaching is that when it comes to the playoffs he shortens his rotation too much which hurts the team in a long series and he just has no way to get his best players easy shots. Everything is ISO which works fine during the regular season but not nearly as well when teams are gearing up for it with really good defenders. He's a great regular season coach, not such a good playoff coach.
