Tyson Chandler played like 7 minutes, and he is +12.. His existence in the paint really scares the rivals from attacking the rim.
Yes, it was a tongue in cheek comment. Another way of saying he gets to play by default......because he is taller than the rest on the team & can somewhat run/move.
He has a way of looking soft even with a double double. I'm waiting for him to have a blockfest kind of game. I'm guessing if we actually paired up another big beefy defender with some height in with him at the rim he would do better.
He only got 1 rebound though. Personally, I'd like to see Chandler AND Clint in at times together rather than a bunch of small guys doing a whole lot of nothing. Instead of Rivers Gordon and James, add in Chandler and take out Gordon or Rivers.
On a recent Brian Windhorst podcast(11-3 I believe) he mentioned that its possible Capela could go back on the trading block. What concerns me about him is he was very vocal last yr and got out played against the Warriors. I would think he would work really hard to become a better basketball player and honestly, he looks worse and maybe that's because its early in the season. That said for me he is underperforming!
