Defensive scheme is complete dog ****. If there is anything I'm questioning right now is if the Rockets even worked on defense during training camp. That's the only frustrating part of all of this. I know players aren't shooting well right which is why it's been so tough to score lately, I feel that will eventually get back to normal. The defense though, what in the **** did they waste their time during training camp. It was clear as crystal during the preseason that defense was not the Rockets focus and it truly is annoying. Now we are going to be playing catch up. I don't know if Elston just sucks as a defensive coach or if Mike just told the defensive staff to back the **** off and let him work on incorporating Westbrook into the offense. My guess is that Mike told everybody to **** off. Elston was a solid defensive coach in his previous stint with the Rockets.

really not true, shots made make it better than it is. Houston have the best offence as far as efficiency goes. Just not making shots
Just talking to a friend of mine who is smarter than me and he thinks the Rockets just have no idea how to play defense at this pace. We're playing at Run TMC pace instead of being a primarily half court team last season and haven't adjusted. That makes some sense to me. It also makes sense that Harden and Westbrook are bringing out one another's worst traits. And both have been accused of being disinterested in defense and when they don't have the ball in their hands.
I've also noticed that this team tries more on defense when their three point shot is falling. It shows a lack of coaching discipline when the team falls apart when they are cold from three. If they are cold from three, They just give up on the game. It's sad.
