I don't even think igoudala is the answer. After acquiring sefalosha Igoudala becomes redundant. Kevin Love would be more useful at this point.
Even if Iggy was, he's how old? Chandler was a pretty decent defender back in the day too. Father Time is undefeated. Maybe there's someone who can fix this? Doubt its Iggy. Consonant Guy isn't coming back either. At least not without a (Les Grossman) whole lot of money.(/Les Grossman)
Kevin Love. For defense. Wow. That's a bigger slam on Iggy's usefulness than I could have come up with.
Past his prime. He can't even log serious minutes without getting hurt. He would have to work too hard with this defensively challenged team.
Houston has defence problems. We need a guy who can shoot and rebounds. Get Kevin love is better. Gordon is not in form this year,.it is time to trade
No to Iggy … Hell No to Love …. How about Harden starts putting in some effort on defense. And lets ditch this switch everything scheme that was designed to hide Harden on D to begin with and leave Capela in the paint. A little huffert will go a long way …. A bigger guy at the 4 spot wouldn't hurt , so you could move Tucker to his natural 3 …. but that aint Love nor Iggy.
Basically, are the team's issues more about scheme, player personnel, or the coach's approach to the flow of the game?
Iggy doesn't even want to come here. He takes one look at our games and says, "NOPE". Our defense is so horrid right now. It's basically PJ + House, who actually tries but is average at it. Capela barely gets play time because D'antoni and Morey loves small ball so much. Our only trade piece is EG right now and we need to move him for a wing/pf that can defend so PJ can move to the 3 or doesn't have to play 38min a night at 37yo. Oh btw, Kings are sucking ass right now so maybe expect them to buy-out a washed up Ariza?
The issue is tucker and Gordon are nowhere the defenders they were last season. Especially Tucker. He still hustles out there but he can’t stay in front of his man like last season.Its still to early but he is showing signs of being 34. Not his faul but it is what is is. Clint is just a lost cause. He is soft.
And Igoudala is going to do what when we go small ball? That means Tucker still plays the 5. Igoudala at Center is what people are proposing? We need a Larger presence at the 5. Someone who will alter shots at least. People are just attacking the Rim at will when we have Tucker at the 5. If we throw Clint in there then we lack the spacing needed when Westbrook is on the floor. Do we want Westbrook Jacking up 3's?
