    My friend at the game:

Since 2000 the team with the best record has won the World Series 5 times

Since 2000 a wild card team has now won the World Series 6 times

You were 8 outs away with Greinke in a rocking chair, save 1 pitch. He had just walked Soto, which is totally fine. Why did Greinke need to be pulled again? There was a distinct chance that Zack gets the next 8 outs with little trouble the way he was rolling. AJ will be criticized for that move for the rest of his career. That’s certain.

No one can ever take 2017 WS away from us. So many people go their whole life without a World Series win for their team

    I wanted more but ....

Because they hire nothing but garbage coaches. How do you score two runs or less in all four home game. Altuve and Springer you flat out suck.

It wasn’t luck by the Nats and it wasn’t a choke job by the Astros. Washington was just a better team in this series. They earned it and deserve it.

We can also take solace in the fact that the window is wide open for at least 2 more seasons...

During game 7 of 2017, I posted about a fan who was crying that the Dodgers lost. Another stranger approached the young fan and started singing " the sun will come out tomorrow ".

I'm disappointed about the lost but not the end of the world. Hope Alvarez can continue to ascend and someone get Tucker to the weight room and Mexican restaurants.
It was great posting in the game threads. until next season. Also, how the f' do you not allow greinke to go 8.

The players didn't come through enough but Hinch was absolutely idiotically bad tonight. I've never been crazy about him but was starting to warm up to him. He can seriously go **** himself after tonight's ****. Oh well.

I still don't blame AJ Hinch for pulling Grienke.

The wheels were coming off with every 3rd out with Runners stranded.

No way the Astros we're gonna hold that team to just 1 out.

Bats never showed up at home, not 1 game.

2 straight games at home in the world series up 3-2.

    Never showed up.

This is on them and the hitting coach.

    - This loss is partly on Hinch's overmanaging (pulling Grienke that quick was idiotic) and partly on our failures to deliver with RISP.
    - The Astros would've likely won this series in 5 games if they didn't have their brain farts in Game 1. I'm looking at Springer not running hard on that near home-run.
    - Juan Soto is a great player, but I do not like his mannerisms at the plate. That tongue-wagging of his annoyed me. And I say that as someone who thinks that a lot of baseball's "unwritten rules" are silly. I'm all for showing off a bit here and there; it makes the game more entertaining, but there's a line. Soto's antics are going to instigate a brawl in the next season or two.

If the pitchers don't tip, Astros are just good not great.

Doesn't stop them from blaming Bill O'Brien or Mike D'Antoni.

Hinch needs to be blamed for Rolling out Reddick at all. Reddick needs to be traded for a bag of chips.

People are probably happier about the Greinke trade at least.

Sometimes you hit the ball really hard, but you don’t get a hit. Seems like the story of the Astros this WS.

    Congrats to the Nationals.
