Last I checked winning a basketball game requires one team outscoring the other team by just a point. Who cares if it’s 159-158 or 99-98 or 88-78.
We have the number 1 offense in the league and the 3rd worst D, but 1 ppg. All the other teams as bad at D as us are losing and we will too if we don't shore it up. DD
Delusional homers go home. If you let the wiz put up over 150 points on you, you're not a very good team. Period! Thats just freaking sad. A win is a win? Lol. Um...no defense is no defense.
I feel like this was a 2 sided blow out. Even the best teams get blown out from time to time and this should have been a blow out. The wiz couldn’t miss. They had some open looks but they made a lot of contested shots too. I think most teams would have gotten blown out tonight but the rockets fought back and scored 160! If the wiz shot their normal percentage they would have gotten blown out. Granted the defense needs to inprove but it is a work in progress. You can’t complain until we are losing games. I would not mind giving up 130 a game and have a 70 win team.
so you can be a good team and give up 130, but 156 is too much ? whats the threshold then since its not 130 ? 140? 145 ?
Its exceptionally bad to give up that many points to a team like the Wiz ...or any team for that matter. And if you are saying that any team can have a bad game, i take your point, but having watched all of our games so far, i see a troubling pattern emerging: a bad defensive team. I dont think you can really contend with a bad defensive team. Just my take.
My definition of a very good team is a team that wins and wins often. After 4 games we’re 3-1. If we were giving up 158 points and had a 1-3 record then it would be the right time to b****. This team has glaring holes but they grind it out to get the W. Hell they could have folded when they were down 8-10 points with like 3 minutes left in the 4th but they didn’t. Winning pretty = 1 W Winning ugly = 1 W
I take your point but i think there is some luck involved in outcomes of close games and eventually bad defense catches up with you, especially against good teams.
it sounds like you were trying to argue you can give up 130 and lose, but you can't give up 158 and WIN and still be considered a good team. i want people to understand no matter how bad the defense was, it is STILL a fluke for a team to shoot that high of a percent for four quarters. you probably can't even find many warriors w/ KD games they shot over 60+ %, and we were still able to somehow win this game. we were even down double digits in the 4th. IT'S THE FOURTH GAME OF THE SEASON lol patterns. the pattern i see right now 3-1, 75% winning percentage. imagine being angry that your team won LMAO
