anyone knows what Morey had to say in regards to our obvious height / lenght / rebounding / rim-protection disadvantage?
Rebounding gives you a cushion when your offense stalls out. Extra possessions are arguably more important than possession efficiency. We know that applies to reducing turnovers. Why is it so crazy to extend that logic to rebounding? Better defensive rebounding = fewer possessions for your opponent. Better offensive rebounding = cushion against inefficiency. Possession differential is key and rebounding is arguably the largest factor in that, if turnovers are not wildly out of control. Morey has never seemed to buy into this - we field so many undersized 4's.
DMO wants back in the league so he says nice things about his former employers but I'm sure he doesn't want anything to do with the Rockets after the debacle.
Everyone is blaming MD doesn’t get it. This is what Morey wants. Morey: “Having skilled players, even if they are a little bit smaller, is more important than having bigger players who are less skilled.”
Clint or Tyson should be on the floor the entire game. The more MDa strays from that simple truth, the more I crave JVG.
Tyson can’t play many minutes. If you want him for the long haul and to maybe bump his minutes up come playoff time we need to limit him for now. I think we have to give Hartenstein some burn and hopefully it starts to click for him on an NBA level.
I want any of the Hernangomez brothers...they're both benched..I think they can be fielded in with the MDA small ball
or if CC15 will be traded for cap relief, I want a lateral trade...like Jarrett Allen with Joe Harris or fillers
Not only Morey. The whole league in the last 4-5 years has completely abandoned offensive rebound in in favour of transition defence, even if they have the right personel i.e the Pistons with Drummond.
we're going to get abused in the playoffs In the regular season it don't really matter since we'll definitely make the playoffs.
Meyers Leonard at $11mill a year has just completely caught up with and learned the game this past post season. Can shoot the 3 and would of filled a need. Example of "under the radar" missed opportunity.
