Just out of curiosity... where were you in 2017? I don't remember you in many Astros threads. Just curious.
If we get good to great Greinke tomorrow it’s going to make Luhnow look like that much more of a genius. Maybe it’s supposed to play out that way. The guys will be locked in. Just hope the pitching is solid.
I said it earlier in the thread, but I think he, to use an incendiary term, pitches scared in the playoffs. In the regular season, he looks so much more confident, especially about letting those fastballs fly. In the playoffs, he looks like he's trying to place every pitch instead of trusting his stuff and going 100% with it. Any pitcher that's every learned to pitch knows that's exactly how you throw balls and meatballs.
Disappointed, but not pissed at how this game has gone. We could have easily scored several more runs if a few more things went our way. Possibly enough to knock out Strasburg a lot earlier. I expected the Nats to be locked in, and they were. And that weirdness with Turner on the base path probably fired them up even more. I expect the Astros to take care of business in Game 7. Hinch needs to go to Urquidy quickly if Grienke doesn't have his good stuff. I also wouldn't mind seeing Cole for an inning or two, depending on how the game goes. All hands on deck except for Verlander.
International broadcasters kept talking about how road teams winning all games has never happened. Said it's never happened in the NBA and NHL. Hopefully some sort of jinx
Look... If we were asked play the season out or play one game to win the World Series at home, I’d choose the latter. I believe in this team.
See ya'll tomorrow. We worked hard for HCA, and we will get a chance to win in front of our crowds tomorrow.
