JV's butt has been tight in close out games. It's a real bummer and why I wasn't feeling very confident tonight tbh.
The Altuve strikeout with men on 2nd and 3rd in the 5th inning was the turning point. A sac fly would have tied the game and changed the entire feel of the game. A hit would have given us the lead and provided serious momentum and stirred the fans up. Instead he swings at three seriously bad pitches because he was so jacked up that he couldn't think straight. I love Altuve, but that was like a little league at-bat. That at-bat changed the face of the game and gave Strasburg the confidence to power through this game.
Thank you. At least for the positivity. Greinke did his job in our first win in this series. He kept them off balance after they teed off on our fastballers. I'm fine with him out there. If the bats show as little life and as little focus tomorrow as they did tonight, they deserve to lose.
If Greinke struggles Id throw Cole out there and see what he can do. If he struggles at all I’d go Urquidy. God work is going to ****ing suck waiting for the game.
So the question is. Which team is going to show up tomorrow? The road warriors that can hit in the clutch or the team we are seeing tonight that can't hit crap after the 1st inning? We can still do this but it sucks losing game 6 like this.
