I’m thinking some of you don’t understand geometry. The statements that it’s easier to back into a space defy logic.

what you mean to say is that you have to draw out wide to pull into a space due to the length of your obnoxious ass vehicle. Regardless of pulling in or backing out - it is how far you give yourself to align your vehicle to the space instead of clipping a vehicle by cutting it short.

You must point your surrogate penis at the world, for only the well endowed and shameless park facing their homes.

Thank you. Unlike *SOME* people here on said bbs I am willing to take a constructive internet opinion and change my mind.

But you will never be able to convince that its normal for someone to drive around like master blaster all tiny in this huge thing they cant control.

I will be here taking a nap while you back it in

I have a long truck and for me its easier to back out of a spot. Its all about the front wheels. Just like parallel parking is easier when you drive past the spot and back in. Again its all about the front wheels. I can see how its safer to back in to the spot, so you can see better when leaving. I just don't see it being easier with a longer vehicle.

Been driving a truck pretty much since I could drive and I ALWAYS back in.

It's much easier to back in vs. backing out of a space.

And the angle usually is more favorable for backing in vs having to do a wide turn to pull into a space.

The funny thing is that a truck is likely going to take longer to park than a car regardless so you'll be waiting anyways. And then you'll be waiting even longer waiting for a truck to back out of a space.

Fair sounds like you know how to effectively.

I amend and say that if you dent/almost dent every car around your perimeter while backing it in in the name of safety... that is definitely not more safe.

The only thing that really bugs me is when people back in and its takes them 4-5 tries to get it in, I trust my back up camera to back out safely and have never had an issue plus its never taken me more then one try to pull in forward

I have an F150 FX4 Supercrew and I always back it into parking spots. However, I do it quickly and without causing delays. The only issue I have is that there are some ass hats that want to ride your tail in a parking lot and they have to back there stupid selves up when those truck backup lights come on and that truck bumper starts coming at you.

Yeah if that driver can’t back up quickly they need to park far away especially at grocery stores, it’s just easier for big trucks to park away from small cars.

I work with CDL trucks and our company policy is you have have to reverse park, personal and company vehicles. It is safer than pulling in. You get more visibility when leaving your parking spot. I have an F-150 and pulling in is harder cuz you have to turn wider than normal. Backing with trucks is better and overall safer. I back into spots with one try now and it feels normal.
