    Yep, it's raining so there's no reason for me to be outside but there's no way I can sit around the house all day waiting...so I'm getting the rain slicker and mudboots ready to go and find something to occupy a few hours.

    I wish my Grandfather was still alive to see this.

    My Grandmother always treated him poorly, and the only escape in life that he had was watching the Astros on his little black and white TV whilst listening to the broadcast on the radio. He longed to see the Astros win the World Series, but didnt get to, as he passed in 2013.

    I know he's gotta be looking down and seeing this and screaming his head off in excitement. Lets goooooooo Stros!

    It does seem like Verlander's entire career is a just a series of increasingly absurd wishes that somehow keep getting granted.

    If he slams the door tonight to close out a World Series, I'm not sure what in hell he's supposed to ask for next.
