He needs to change that philosophy then. This team would benefit more from a 4/5 then a 3/4.

Dude thinks 4 starters at 6’6 and under is a good idea lol. And then wonders why they’re not great rebounders.

I mean, that philosophy has made us the only real challenge to a healthy GSW the last few years. For that reason along with a few others, I would disagree.

But yes, we would probably need to fire D’Antoni and get a new coach If we wanted to see a Popovich style PF system with Sabonis.

Ideally we would have snagged Siakam and put him at forward with PJ. :D Or somehow figured out how to teach Trez to shoot.

Everyone here has been hoping and praying for a Shawn Marion type for years now, and there is still a gaping hole from Ariza leaving.

I have high hopes for Danuel House. If he can scrap in there and grab 6-7 rebounds, I think we will all be happy. He has to lose the “look like Tarzan, play like Jane” mentality though. We need more dogs to help PJ out. Clint needs to take another step forward in toughness too, or we need to send him packing for Steven Adams.

Pre-season is meaningless, but I have been super disappointed in our toughness. Should have hired JVG as assistant coach.

It’s also what prevented them from closing out. Close but no cigar is still not there.

Coincidentally MDA had the same problems with phoenix. Hmmm

6'9 and rail thin, which means he will just get bullied trying to play the 4, and you forgot to add he can't stay healthy.

ill take the 23 yr old that is just scratching the surface.
People need to stop with the moral victory BS. B-b-b-but we gave the warriors all they could handle. We couldn’t even get the job done with KD out two games. Furthermore, those days are over. We now have to deal with a huge teams like the lakers and sixers. Odds are you will have to beat both of them to get a title.

Sabonis is so overrated here. He could be one year rental, has not much value left.
Willie Cauley-Stein has similar stats as Sabonis.

22 year olds Sabonis scored more, rebounded more and assisted more on a better fg% than 25 year old WCS while playing fewer minutes.

Sabonis gets a 4/77 deal...OP really thought House, who would never even see close to 10 mil/yr, and a protected 1st was a legit offer...

enough with these delusional trade proposal threads that don’t even make any sense...

Yes, but Indiana would never take that, personally I don't think Sabonis is a good fit for us

I like Sabonis as a player, he is a good complimentary player for sure - but something about House I really believe can be great.
