Dang. I know 68 isn’t young but it seems like famous people/politicians rarely die suddenly at that age without drugs. I wonder if he’s been privately battling cancer or something?

He was an overweight black man. They have much higher health risks.

Cummings also spoke up for meadows when he was accused of being racially insensitive.

I mean he did call Cummings a flat out racist before but at least our president for once took the high road. Low expectations I guess.

    RIP Cummings

A great loss for the Congress and the American people. An unflinching voice in the battle against racism and protecting our constitution. He was far too young to leave us. Rest In Peace. You deserve it.

Always seemed to carry himself with thought and dignity. RIP. May others follow his example.

I mean I'll be the dick...

No way he wrote this. It probably annoys him that this is on his twitter timeline.

Maybe, but his office did a graceful thing, and I applaud it. This thread, for one, doesn't need to be about 45, right?

That sucks. Rest in peace, Rep Cummings.

I know it's too soon, but this is the D&D after all. Maryland's Republican governor has to appoint a replacement for the House delegation. And, a replacement also needs to be found for his chairmanship. Thoughts?

Props to Trump for letting someone write an appropriate condolences tweet. He even allowed it to be published with a higher-than-average sentence complexity, and no spelling errors! Pretty low bar, but I'm glad he didn't **** all over this passing like he did with Sen McCain (yet).
