I still dont think our role players are good enough. We need one more guy who can get his own shot.

We wont win the championship if our defense is trash. Having a repeat of last year is not what we want.

Sefolosha is probably 3 inches taller than Tucker + giant wingspan. It’s not ideal, but it’s good to have someone who can give Tucker a breather. 18 minutes a game from him would be useful.

I was hoping that Clark would step up and claim that backup PF spot but he has been mediocre thus far. Ryno can only go against some slower C’s. We really need a PF upgrade without losing anyone else from the rotation.

Would have been nice to have Brandon Knight’s contract and that draft pick.

Thabo is a great defender. If he is used at the 4 to guard small ball lineups, this is going to be fine.

Agree with all the concerns over rebounding.

I really like the way he plays. Forces defenses to defend him and then usually passes off to the open man. What's not to like? He creates all kinds of odd angles for defenses to break down and he's usually not the shooter so it's rare you'd blame him for chucking.

Who is the one team that has a PF that can do all of that?

Please name this another PF who can guard 2's other than Draymond and he is actually shorter than Sefalosha.

Some of y'all think they defend and challenge shots with the top of their heads. SMH.

Clemons wouldn’t have been able to stop this pass.

Draymond is shorter but bigger. In the same way PJ Tucker is more of "real" power forward than Sefalosha.

Now, obviously, the best of the best of those PFs are all stars, and even could be MPV candidates. But here are some PFs that have versatility and are either better than what we have when going "small", or can go big and be just as good.

    Lebron
    AD
    Kuzma
    Sabonis
    Jaron Jackson Jr
    Kevin Love
    Al Horford
    Draymond
    Porzingis
    Markannen
    Blake Griffin
    LMA
Bagley (will be this year for sure, he's a future all star)
    Zion (see above)
    John Collins
    Siakam
    Giannis
Tatum/Brown (they can swing to PF)
    Covington

^ just off the top of my head. Again, not all of these guys can do "everything". But a lot of the "big" versions of these PFs on the list can now shoot threes and defend switches, while the small version guys on there are better than our small version PFs.

I'm not upset with Tucker, or with Sefalosha, but if you look at our PF rotation as a group... it's pretty sad.

I realize this is tongue in cheek...

But, sadly, this is almost true.

I don't have to talk about the Warriors. But even the Raptors last year. Lowry, Kawhi, Serge, Gasol, Siakam - likely all 5 of those guys ultimately make the HOF.

I'm not saying that's the only way. Give me Harden and Russ, in a way that "fits" and surround with extreme depth of really solid role, versatile role players, and I think they can win a ring.

So my complaint about Sefolosha at PF is that's it's kind of just another piece that is similar to the pieces we have. We have a bunch of guys that are really 2/3s. I'd much rather have a Sefolosha like backup, but that is a legit "big". The obvious answer for that is Hartenstein... if he didn't suck.

If they want to go small... ok... but if they don't, they're kind of screwed.

The rosters is a bunch of 2/3s, and a group of legit 5s. There's no actual PG on the roster anymore - even though Harden, Russ, Rivers, Clemons can and will play point, there's no "true" PG of the type that is capable of being a high A:TO guy while digging in defensively. I was all in favor of moving CP3 for Russ and remain so, but even with criticisms for CP3, that was a skill he brought. And there is no "true" PF. As a result, the lineup versatility of this team is weak. They can go small... or go small.

He has a legitimate point that our rebounding takes a missive hit from these small line ups. It gives the opposing team so many unnecessary extra possessions. It doesn't help that we often switch our best defensive rebounders on the floor out to the perimeter often with our switch scheme.

I have no idea what that list has to do with what I posted.

A lot of those are centers and some are small forwards and only a handful can do the things you are lamenting about.

Sefalosha can actually shoot, switch and dribble a bit, he has an abnormally long wingspan what's not to like?
