If analysts' yearly bonus is tied to the accuracy of their predictions, they'd show less bias, carry less media narratives and would try to get it right.
Spoiler Rockets would have been listed at contenders with Chris Paul. OKC would have been listed as dark horse sleepers to win the whole thing. "Look out for OKC with Paul George & Russell Westbrook! They're a top four (seed) team and can be really dangerous come the postseason. They will not be an easy out!" ***Rockets acquire Westbrook.*** "Ehh are we sure he's even a top 20 player anymore?" "Rockets are not title contenders. They'll probably make it as a 6-7-8 seed but they're not a threat. I don't see this team going very far."
This so...so much this. Westbrook would be a top 10 player if he stayed with the Thunder. A guy who clearly couldn't blow by his man in Game 5 and Game 6 against the Warriors would be better that the former MVP...SMH.
Oh, ****. We lost a pundit's preseason rankings? Here I was, all excited about the Astros, and now you ruined my weekend.
Ahh the annual "sell the rockets short, then when they exceed expectations, and harden has an mvp season, we act like we never sold them short before the season"
don't worry when it comes time for MVP voting... "harden has too much help westbrook is sooo good it's just not fair"
Guys, why take Woj's opinion seriously at all, the dude is a news breaker. The dude doenst actually know about ball itself. Its not like it was Lowe whos leaving us off(although he did put the Jazz ahead of us too). 538's statistical model had us as the title favorites I would say that should mean more to you than Woj's opinion.
You can preach one mission all day but Harden still chasing stats by refusing to push the tempo. Russ has already showed me hes unselfish by playing second fiddle. At this rate I agree with Woj.
Woj has never been a good predictor of who wins or is going to be good to my knowledge. His strength is breaking news of signings, picks, and other personnel changes.
He seems to be another Harden/Westbrook hater because I see the Rockets being better than the Jazz, Nuggets, and Blazers. Their defense, rebounding, and inefficient shooting will be a huge gap against teams like the Bucks, Clippers, Lakers, and Sixers though.
