You missed my point. I'm not saying a hurricane should hit Houston to cancel or postpone the game. The Astros seemed to draw inspiration on that WS run from the adversity facing Houston because of the hurricane. So, I was joking that a hurricane should hit Houston...so the Astros would be inspired to victory for the hurting city and its fans...again. Or, maybe you got my point? Whatever.
Holy scriptures: Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for Cole your ace, he is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.
Yuh. I'm nervous but it's kind of an enjoyable nervousness/anxiety... like before a big athletic competition or test or something.
Bow your heads and pray with me, won't you? O God, ease our nervousness in this, our moment of great despair. Yea, admit this good and decent team into thine arms in the flock in thine ALCS area up there. And Moab, he laidest down in the land of the Canaanites. And yea, though the Hindus speak of Karma....I implore you...give us....give us a win. Baaaaaruch Ataaaaa....
I'm not willing to go that far, but I would have liked to see Tucker in the lineup instead of Reddick. The dude is 0-7 so far in the playoffs and feels like an automatic out batting 8th. Tucker looked bad in his first game, but his ceiling on any given night as a hitter is vastly superior to Reddick's, and their floors are basically identical. If you're probably going to get an 0-3 performance from both guys, why not go with the guy who might go 1-3 with a home run instead?
I’m considerably less nervous when at the game. No replays and no annoying announcers. Just the action. Not going tonight so looking forward to a 10 run bottom of the first to lower the tension.
I'm with you. Tucker should be him for either him or Reddick, I'm not picky. Brantley in Sept/Oct has been 14/78. .179/.244/.308. He has been awful since at least Sept. 1. He's a large reason why they have home field, but he's awful now, and batting 2nd is just head shaking. However, that's why Hinch makes the big money. Watch him have a good game now, and be a reason we win it all.
If you want to really cry, for Brantley's entire postseason experience, he's 6/41 with 2 walks. .146/.182/.146. Those aren't typos; that's a .328 OPS.
On a side note. The rays have been hitting ****ing bombs during batting practice. Team seems very relax and a bunch are laughing and taking it easy. Somewhat disturbing
One more damn time, I summon the power of the "I Still Believe" sax man from the Lost Boys! I still believe dammit!!!!
So as blake snell was walking the tunnel i told him to go easy on us. He responded back by laughing and saying look at us. Were having the time of our life. You guys are the favorites. Im officially somewhat worried
