Should this really be getting the same level of attention as Trump’s North Korea “Fire and Fury” comments? Our president has said much more off-the-wall tweets yet he has not received this level of backlash. Too many sensitive people out there especially in more developed countries, US included. Quit being so butt hurt. This is so beyond exaggerated as a global issue that it’s laughable at this point. Kind of seems this is to distract people from the bigger problems that are going on in China... There are much more important issues to prioritize in both country’s than Moreys lone controversial tweet.
Stop replying to dopefiend. That guy is failing at trolling and all he is doing is failing his fellow Chinese posters who are genuinely expressing their concerns/opinions.
I read your other posts around this topic, and I take your frustration was basically "why the chinese didn't back off?" Right? While Chinese might appear "unreasonable" to some of you, its behaviour has been entirely predictable. Chinese fans saw it coming, Yao saw it coming too. If NBA failed to see it coming, their PR team in China must be terribly incompetent (which has been proven true since). But Morey must have received a lot of warning about the potential consequences. There was also a generous amount of time offered to Morey to de-escalate. And he didn't even have to compromise on his principle to achieve this. All he needed to do was to run his draft with Yao before posting it, yet he failed. From that point onwards there's alright way back, with politicians taking note. You blame the Chinese authorities, but they just did what they had been expected to do all along. I can understand why Yao is furious. Can't you? Btw, you assumed Chinese folks cannot/don't use Twitter, this assumption was wrong. "You guys shouldn't be able to see it" is a terrible excuse for Morey's misbehaviour
