This is Clutch's only official tweet on the subject, put out today.

Behind the scenes, sources say he's glad we cut Zhou Qi last year.

The solution is for the US and all NBA fans to be
    united in their stance,
and be willing to sacrifice for principle.

You may know nothing about the issue, but that is not what is at stake.
It is about one of the foundational human rights that this country was established on and that is the freedom of speech.

Sure, it can be detrimental at times and I don’t think it is unreasonable to disagree with Morey’s opinion or the fact that he chose to tweet about the matter.

But he has, and the CCP has retaliated so we are left with two choices.
Being hypocritical and complicit for the sake of short term financial loss or siding with an essential core value of democracy and preserving your said identity.

If anything would become of a united stance - cool...

but if its just for the sake of posturing - with nothing really being accomplished for those in need... then its just empty grandstanding...

I applaud the sentiment of helping those being oppressed... but if its just incurring negative repercussions with no benefit to anybody...

and I mean its not like we didnt know what China was about... do we only do business and maintain good relations with countries we agree with?

I've had mixed views on the whole mess...

Not quite, seeing as they have the power of VPN. Think about it, in theory Twitter is blocked in China so none of its non-government citizens should have been none the wiser. Now, they can scream across the ocean in anonymity while CONTINUING to enjoy Rockets games.

The US is handling this just as bad however. While not committing the same atrocities, quite a few Americans are showcasing their serious hypocrisies and double standards. The media is lapping up the cheap click bait headlines (oh... all of a sudden you care now, ESPN?), politicians sucker punching for their 15 minutes of fame, and the flash mob of the outrage culture looking for any opportunity to condemn.

The biggest ugly truth is that if everyone was somehow able to get affected by the financial hit significantly if they spoke out, 99% of people talking right now would just keep quiet and stay out. It's easy act like an activist or moralist when you have nothing to lose, which is why there are so few real activists that are doing meaningful things when the rest of the world is avoiding to look.

10 years ago, I would have voted for the 4th choice.

Now the only on that makes sense is the last one.

Clutch, along with Chris Paul is trying to find out more about the situtation before responsing to the CCP

    After the game:
NBA players association president Chris Paul on the developing situation between the league and China: "I don't know but so much about it right now. I'll try to find out what's going on but I don't know no nothing right now just trying to figure it out and shllllllt."
