Morey has the right to say what he wants, but Tilman also has the right to be seriously PISSED OFF when his doing so costs him money. Make no mistake, Morey’s decision to TWEET is going to cost Tilman big time. That was a really bad business decision, and like it or not, the NBA is a business, Tilman is a businessman, and there are generally consequences when an employee screws the bottom line. It will be extremely interesting to see how this turns out.

Well, maybe that's Morey's way to get rid of Tilman.

Think about this. Morey has enough of Tilman's way of running things. If he quits, he won't get the contract money. If he gets fired because of his basketball decisions, he gets a bad spot in his resume. So he did a dumb political tweet to get fired without looking incompetent as a basketball GM. He'll even get lots of supports from not only Rockets fans but American fans of every team.

(I'm just joking. Morey can't be that smart. ;))

First, who the hell are you to decide what is and isn’t the Rockets business.

Second the Houston Rockets haven’t said anything about China or Hong Kong.

Daryl Morey is a person with his own opinions and he expressed those opinions on his own personal twitter feed.

It is funny that China can do horrendous things and then think everyone needs to bite their tongue. We aren’t brainwashed beaten down Chinese citizens that have been trained to not question the CCP.

Another article on Morey from another state owned newspaper in China.
    www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/201910/06/WS5d99d805a310cf3e3556ee4d.html

Repeats the message that people who want to do business in China cannot criticize China. So its pretty clear the Chinese government is using Morey/Rockets as an example to send a message to other companies to watch their mouths and not say anything that can offend China.
