I definitely wouldn't mind having Dmo on the right contract. Dude is a skilled scorer at the 4/5.

Let motiejunas go for a Chinese association award then we'll see.

Dantoni has no time for the chinese or time mess around in his last year with Houston.

Glad he is playing well and is healthy - it took a while for him to get over his back surgery - he seems comfortable, and would be a GREAT addition to this team as he adds a low post presence and can shoot the 3pter, he would be a nice backup C for this team, can play down low or bring his defender out top....clearing space for Rus and James.

Ryno's replacement next year. Just make sure BJ Armstrong has nothing to do with the negotiations.

So he had a dust up with Morey not the franchise. So what.

Morey is half of today's Rockets for better or worse.

But I told all players hate Morey's asset system.

Seriously D-mo will be back and can help... if healthy. He just turned 29 and would thrive in the MDA offense.

It'll be a win win situation for both DMo and the Rockets if he can be brought back in March.

DMo is making bank in China with a $6M contract ($10M equivalent NBA contract since the club pays the income tax for the players). Then if he can impress NBA clubs from March to May, then DMo has a real shot of making it back to the NBA next year.

D.Mo might not be as good as he was before his back problems, but there're still a lot of players in the nba that are less good than him, and some are on our roster so, i wouldn't mind having him back.

I still wonder how no one signed him though...and even the Spurs, probably the most euro friendly organization ever, signed him last season and let him go pretty fast...that might mean something.

Actually NO, he was mad at the NBA over voiding the contract that he and the Rockets had agreed to.

The NBA would not allow them to change their lowball offer, and New Jersey was saying it was illegal for the Rockets to renegotiate - they had to match or lose him.

The Rockets matched, but not the incentives - so Morey tore up that match and tried to make it right, Silver stepped in....and voided it......all of it.

Dmo Sued the NBA, settled out of court for an unannounced Sum and went to China.

That no team has given him a shot nor has been able to develop him tells me that the NBA is still not great overall at developing talent. D-Mo still has so much potential, though I don't see much difference between the D-Mo who left us. Maybe a bit more patient and confident with his behind the back passes, which he did often. I'd give him a shot to be honest but I don't have faith that he'd thrive here. Anything better than Ryno as a back-up 4 though.

So this whole Morey wanted him to undergo some examinations from a Rockets doctor was bogus?

And he didn't pass or something, that I could recall.

Didn't the Spurs sign him for playoffs last season? Maybe we can do that some time in March or April.

It was a negotiation tactic - Morey did the same for Landry - folks overreact and don't research the history of negotiations. Players that are restricted, the GM always points out their flaws to lower their value.....it was not unexpected.

His back could have issues down the line, but remember the Rockets worried about Scola and his knee? LOL - now he is 39 and still going strong in Italy.

Nothing new here, just negotiation tactics.......if the Rox think DMo could help they would not hesitate in bringing him back.
