Yes, in so far as he hasn't been on an NBA contract since March 1st, so would qualify as an NBA free agent.

But I don't know what his contract status is in Europe. Players under contract have to get a FIBA clearance letter via their team giving the OK. NBA (as a FIBA member) can't pilfer players from other leagues, any more than other leagues can pilfer ours.

Time heals all wounds, DMo got paid in the settlement - I doubt he cares any more.

IMO, he owes a third of everything he make to the Rocket organization because he is as good as he is because of all the time and money sent by the Rockets developing him into a responsible player. Most franchises would have called him a bust after the second season but the Rockets turned him into a player. The Rockets stood by him and paid him as NBA player to get better in a different league. When it was time for the return, y’all know the story... The Rockets should have sued him for their time and money sent on his development.

James Harden actually trusts Donatas with the ball in the low post, passing in the low post, unlike Clint or Dwight Howard.

Late in game situations you need low post scoring, Donatas has so many post moves to go to.

Anybody that truly knows basketball, would know that DMo would go hard on this current team. He can make the top big man in the league look stupid on defense.

It's not the rockets fault that DMo has a bad back ...that derailed and ultimately wrecked his career.
