Even in his worst season he's never shot that bad. If you're right, okay... But you're literally expecting/hoping for something detrimental to the team, when a bought in 40% 3 point shooting big man is a great fit for Russ when Harden sits. The dude doesn't need to play up to a $20 mil contract anymore. For 2.5 he could be well worth it.
His last year here he was abysmal. Anybody who actually follows Rocket games knows this. Ryan Anderson was so bad at one point he stopped shooting wide open 3's. By playoff time he was unplayable. His defense was just as atrocious
On Lowe's recent pod with Arnovitz, they talk about all the teams that loaded up on PFs (for no good reason) and how they might be looking to dump some people at some point this season. Specifically, the Magic, Kings, and Knicks (maybe Heat too). All have several PFs. Unfortunately I'm not clever enough to come up with any trades that really help us out, but maybe someone else here can. FWIW, Lowe speculated that Bjelica would be the obvious dump for the Kings - I'd like to have him; he's a rich man's RA in my opinion.
I wonder if there's STILL any chance of Luc (is he healthy) coming back on top of this, because we need the long 3/4 that can D up and hit the boards. I was against RA coming back, but if we address this need then I'm copacetic with it.
lmao pretty much means you won't revisit it but nice try, still a hilarious post though. not surprised the least bit who the op was
Alright I came up with one but it makes us worse off. Rockets In: Bam Adebayo Bjelica Justin James Rockets Out: Clint Capela Miami In: Chris Paul Miami Out: Dragic Olynyk D. Robinson Bam Adebayo Sacramento In: Clint Capela Sacramento Out: Bjelica Justin James Giles OKC In: Dragic Olynyk Giles D. Robinson OKC Out: Chris Paul
@Roc Paint would love it, but it's not enough for CC...IMO. Don't get me wrong, Hay..I would love to have Bam.
It still works if we swap the landing spots for Olynyk and Bjelica. We could get Olynyk and OKC would get Bjelica. That's a bit better... but yeah still not great.
You're right and what killed me was he was being payed $20 mil to not even want to shoot. But, at the end of your bench, his ceiling as a contributor is very high. Before his presence was hurting our team's chemistry as a starter/rotation guy being payed more than everyone and expecting to play a huge role or get traded. Now, he's a no-risk, high-reward candidate.
