2021? Stuff like this is why the nba is turning away from basketball & into a lame reality show. I blame the media & also Lebron James for starting this

Would they even have the space?? Logically lol.

Besides that, it still doesn’t make any sense to discuss this.

Giannis will hit free agency in the summer of 2021.

    Golden State's salaries for 2021-2022:

    Curry $45.7 million
    Thompson $37.8 million
    Green $24 million
    Russell $30 million

Let's assume they keep D'Angelo between now and 2021-2022. That's a total of $137.5 million committed to four players. Spotrac has the salary cap for 2021/2022 to be at $125 million projected. Assuming that's right, there's no way in hell Giannis can be shoehorned into GSW's books without moving two of the four players above. Salary cap aside, Curry will be 33 during the 2021/2022 season, Green will be 31. Giannis would be a ridiculous 25 year old. Now, like others mentioned, would playing with almost-past-their-prime players be worth it for Giannis? He'd be better served going to join up with Luka or a team full of young players like ATL?

That being said, the interesting thing about this is that ALL four players will be on the last year of their current contract in 2021/2022, so it could be conceivable that Milwaukee (depending on how the next couple of years go) would entertain a trade of Thompson/Russell/picks for Giannis in a S&T. I mean I wouldn't do it but the option could be there.

NBA talking heads from LA don't want to keep going to Milwaukee so they are going to poison his relationship with the Bucks for the next two years.

You have to create the narrative before you can get behind it. That's the job of these pseudo-journalists is to create stories and drama where there is none. That's why you'll never see a story like "Giannis to Houston in 2021 is a real possibility".

They just traded away the best prospect they’ve ever drafted for a bag of peanuts.

Not all nba players are pu**ies and want to be on super elite teams to win....Giannis IMO is included in one of those.

ESPN just can't wait to get Giannis to a *destination market*.

And F right off Golden State. This gawd damn city and their bay area media and the entitlement and hubris. F them.

Yeah, what happened with that? Is that the one he talked about on his Pod before the All Star Break? Did ESPN say don't run it so they could push Giannis for MVP?

I never got a definitive answer. I do know that the Rockets believed it was a hit piece on Harden. Part of the issue was that as soon as Windhorst made the statement, several players came forward and said that Windhorst did not understand the NBA culture and no one "hates" James Harden.

Come on, this is an awful roster. Noone except Barrett is a shooter, and Barrett hasn't even played an NBA game so we can't evaluate him. Giannis needs shooters around him.

Yeah, that's the article. I remember Windhorst on his Pod saying "I was surprised so many players hated Harden" while doing a "survey" at all star weekend. And clearly he did not interpret things properly.

This. USA vs Euro is going to become a bigger thing too the next year.

cap is 125m and the Mavs have 84m commited to:
    Luka - KP - Powell - Wright - Kleber - Curry - Brunson - Finney

Just need to dump a small contract like DFS and they can offer Giannis max for a big 3 + additional five great roleplayer + Rick Carlisle. Thats the last year Bucks on steroids.

James Harden to the New York Knicks at the end of his contract is a real possibility.

James Harden to the Charlotte Hornets at the end of his contract is a real possibility.

James Harden to the Miami Heat at the end of his contract is a real possibility.

None of these will EVER actually happen BUT . . . they're a real possibility. . . And a real possibility, is a story . . . And a story needs to be clicked to be read. Don't forget to click.
