    I hope he's not suggesting that our slow paced last few years were because of CP3. You can put prime Magic on this team but if Harden is gonna pound the ball for 15 seconds then attempt a step back 3, it doesn't matter who starts at PG. It's obvious to anyone watching that our pace was deliberate.

    hate him or love him , last 2 years , under tilman, were the best 2 years in the last 20 years for rockets...were it not for the refs incredible bias rockets would be champions in the last 2 years...

    cp3's first year in 17-18, which was year 1 of tilman didn't have anything to do with him. the rockets built that team without him and had the most success its had ever since the championship days.

    now year 2 on the other hand with him at the helm, started out a complete disaster. his prime acquisition last year was

    Our last Harden-less year
    2011-2012: 11th

    James Harden arrives
    2012-2013: 1st
    2013-2014: 6th
    2014-2015: 2nd
    2015-2016: 7th
    2016-2017: 3rd

    Chris Paul arrives
    2017-2018: 13th
    2018-2019: 27th

    It might not have been entirely CP3's fault, but he had more than a little to do with the change of pace.

    The Rockets in the last 2 years has completely transitioned from a primarily pick and roll oriented offense into a dump it to Harden iso ball. Harden's isolation has game gotten so potent, there is no reason to run any other set. Just let him stare down his defender and isolate is our best half court offense. Its nobody's fault, its a coaching choice. Its deliberate.

    I get it guys. He has the ability to spend more. It would be awesome for us as fans if he lost every penny he had on an unbeatable roster, but if I’m reading this right there is one team spending more money than we are this season and that’s Portland by about $150,000.

    And I will continue to not understand why his interviews rile people up so much. Just don’t read them. Act like they never happened, they do not effect the players on our team or how they will perform.

    considering the system is catered to your best players, then yeah the slower pace is what is wants. he's an iso player. so that involves slowing the game down and playing with pace. nothing surprising there. not sure why some of you act like its a insult.
